My Weight Loss Journey

Okay guys. I decided I am tired of being overweight, not happy with how I look in costume and typically just unhappy with my life. I have found that even though dieting is hard for me...I'm pretty happy and I feel good after a workout even though its hard to actually go DO the workout. So here I am, making the decision to get into shape for good this time. I currently sit at a size 38 waist. I wanna be able to get to a size 32 by PAX which is the last weekend of August. I feel like if I work hard I can do that. My husband and I have set ourselves up with a list of healthy foods we will be shopping from and I am going to be excersising everyday for 30 minutes at least once with a big workout at the gym once a week. I will also be posting photos of my progress here once a month to see how well I have been doing. Hopefully the encouragement here will help keep me going.

These photos are from Sunday night.

Sorry about the creepy eyes. I was tired. Man I do not like those photos. But I am forcing myself to do this so that when I do reach my goal I can show pictures that I will be proud of. My first big step was giving up soda. This is going to be especially hard cause I am a manager at McDonalds so all the food while I am working is free.

Okay, well I think I can help with one thing. I used to work at McDonalds, so I know how things work there with employee meals and stuff. Alright, do you work long enough for one or two breaks? Morning, day, night or overnight shifts?
Tips: Bring in "assistant foods." Since you get free meals we'll utilize them. When I say assistant foods, I mean like the really fresh veggies for a good salad and even healthier dressings (though the vinaigrettes are not too bad). Just get a grilled chicken filet to add to the salad.
Lots and lots of water, more than you think you need.

PS I know it's hard to choose the healthy options when you work there all day smelling the delicious fried foods all day.

So glad that someone gets me. I have been doing pretty good so far but it's only day two and I don't wanna jinx myself. I have a ways to go but I know that if I keep up this positive attitude I can achieve my goal. Thank you so much for the help by the way.

It helps a lot to bring in your own food because then you know you have that set aside specifically for you. Or plan things out ahead of time.
DaRatmastah posted a thread about a video he made that addresses the basic guidelines for nutrition and whatnot.

Just ask and I'll help with what I can.

You are such a badass! Good for you, honey. I've been doing the same thing for a little over a year now, and I know how hard it can be. Yes, at this point the exercise is going to make you pretty sore, because your body's not used to it. But honestly the number one thing that will make it better is not breaking the workout regime (unless you're legit hurt). Your body will adjust and sort of go "Oh, so this is what we're doing now. Got it."
You definitely sound like you're starting off strong. Giving up sodas will absolutely help kickstart you. Honestly, if you can cut juices too and pretty much keep it at water and lowfat/skim milk, that will be a huge boost.
I also wanted to give you a huge round of applause for posting the pictures of yourself. I know it can be really hard to put yourself out there like you did, so props. Also, you're a beautiful lady. You're going to be even more of a bombshell when you reach your goal!

I broke my regime and feel awful...But I'm not gonna dwell on it and make myself feel bad about it. I'm just gonna pick up tomorrow and keep on keeping on. Thanks so much for keeping me motivated guys.
