New to cosplay

Hi guys, thanks for having me on this site.
I want to start cosplaying for an upcoming convention, but I don't know where to start.
I want to cosplay as kirito from SAO but i'm not sure how to make the cape and swords, any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome! You're definitely at the right place. There are plenty of members who are experienced costume and prop designers, and there are also plenty who have made the various SAO cosplays for the different versions of Kirito. Explore the different forums, especially the prop section. There are a ton of tutorials for the different methods of prop designs. I craft my props from fiberglass and bondo, so if that is the approach you're interested in taking for the swords, I would be more than willing to answer any questions and give some pointers to you.

Once again, welcome! I look forward to seeing you around the forums
