I'm cosplaying as Inuyasha but he doesn't wear shoes

It just hit me that i'm not sure how I should handle his feet. I'm sure you can't walk around with no shoes on at most cons. Anyone got any ideas?

I'd do the glue-on sandal bottoms or nude ballet shoes.

Go for a pair of waraji. They're easy to find, unobtrusive, and 'period' Japanese (insomuch that they were worn by many classes through history). You might want to put a bit of moleskin under the ropes, as lower quality fibers can be irritating to your skin.

"Invisible" shoes wouldn't be that hard to make. And Sewing Is Half the Battle did a pair for their Jack Frost cosplay.

Apparently they're not too expensive to make either.

A lot of characters I've cosplayed don't wear shoes, but I'm not fond of getting tapeworms and the like so I tend to wear sandals anyway.

Xiba for example, rather than hide the sandals I decided to wear something that would "blend" in with the costume supporting the overall vibe. Possible some corded sandals like mine or some traditional Japanese sandals would be appropriate.

Invisible shoes. That is so cool. o.o

Has Inuyasha ever said he would not wear shoes? Does he sneer at it because it's a silly human thing? Or would it be unobtrusive to have a pair of geta or other Japanese-style footwear that would match the costume somewhat and that you could slip off for pictures?
