I'd do the duct-tape method, but I'd not use plastic wrap, I'd use an old, large t-shirt. I did this for a jumper for a costume and had my mom help with the taping, too, haha. :P That way it's anchored on your shoulders and it's not really doing anywhere.
If you wanted to just draft it on paper, I would just start with a regular body block and go from there. I'd probably want to have a really slight waist compression just to be able to have the thing stay up on its own.
