Smile Help with Skyla hair? (Pokemon b/w)

I'm cosplaying as the Jet badge gym leader Skyla at a con this year, and am planning on using my real hair in it since I keep it red anyway. I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions or tips on achieving the look? My hair is about to mid-chest in length. I have rough ideas and will just play around with the look but I was hoping for a little help maybe too!
Thanks in advance.

Hi there !

To help people who haven't played the game or don't know the character (I've played the game but couldn't remember what her hair looked like exactly before searching), you should always include a reference picture or two so that people know what you are trying to achieve.

I would probably make the weird "bulb" part of her hair out of fake hair over a foam core with the hairpiece attached - and clip that to my real hair if that's what I was doing. And use fake hair for the really long parts. Are you wanting to cut your hair short like hers ? If I didn't want to cut my hair I would use a wig for this - her hair is really short except for the long ear-tuft things and whatever the "bulb" is. Plus, with a wig you only have to style it once and you're done and you can use glue !
