Dying a red wig to brown?

Since I've recently finished Bioshock Infinite and fallen in love with Elizabeth, I would like to cosplay her for Colossalcon.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a Grell Sutcliff wig from a friend who wasn't going to be using it anymore. I figured that dying from red to brown wouldn't be too much of a problem. However, before I actually try it, I figured I would ask you guys for a bit of advice.
Essentially, I'm going from this color red to this color brown.

For the record, I am planning on sharpie dying it, and I've already pretty much got it cut and styled.

Any help is appreciated . w.

You can either try a dark brown and hope it covers up the red, or a dark green. Green + red = brown

Pretty much not gonna happen. Sharpies will tint a wig, not change the color, especially as drastically as you're wanting.

You would get a aubrun shade (red/brown) then the deep brown you want so keep that in mind.

It's worth a shot because if you don't like the colour you can stripe the sharpie off by putting the wig into a zip-lock bag filled with a bottle of alcohol to stripe the colour off.
