LOL!! No not a colon cleanse. But the nutrition cleanses where you eat 100% clean, restricted calories, no refined sugars, no carbs for usually 3 days-1 week. It is supposed to help curb cravings. Kind of a body "reset" so to speak.

No carbs is a no go for me. Hell, even low carbs is a no go for me. Essential nutrient I won't deprive my body of. That being said, I look for better sources of carbs, such as whole grain oats, sweet potatoes, etc. I'm not eating a bunch of white bread and pasta.

I get a good amount of fats, protein, and carbs, don't leave any of them out. Just have to be selective on the source of said nutrients

Oh this is a cool idea

I'm trying to cut back a little so

Today:
Bolthouse coffee protein drink - just like a little under a serving based on the large container size
the last third of my homemade chicken salad and some saltines (chicken, light mayo, celery, grapes)
A water bottle

Edit: Date was cancelled so I had a 2 egg + 1 egg white omelet with spinache, peppers, and feta cheese.

Ate two fried eggs and two pancakes with jelly. Then a jr. chicken sand from Arby's. For a snack, I had two pieces of oat bread with peanut butter.

I don't eat a lot of meals for some reason. This list is sort of a snack summary for me. I don't think I eat enough. For yesterday...

Morning: 2 slices of turkey, handful of almonds, OJ, some dates
Afternoon: Turkey sandwich (red pepper, lettuce, pickles), milk, some prunes, sunflower seeds, handful of peanuts
Evening: Grilled salmon, semi-salad (cucumber, red pepper, carrots), milk
Night: Handful of almonds, 3 or so prunes, 2 slices of cheese, aloe juice, half an Almond Joy

Today was a productive day!

Breakfast/Lunch: (I more or less halved what I'd normally eat)
1.5 scrambled eggs with cheese
Breakfast potatoes
Sausage

Went to the gym for about an hour and learned how out of shape I am

Snack:
Celery sticked and vegan Peanut Butter with Flax Seeds

Not sure if I'll be eating dinner or not, maybe just some coffee or tea later so I don't screw up how good I've been today

Have been going the paleo route for the last 6 weeks, dropped 20lbs so far.

Today:

Breakfast 4 scrambled whole eggs with 1/2 cup mixed berries(not measured out but guessing)

mid meal: 5oz chicken breast

Lunch: 6oz chicken breast and broccoli and carrot mix

Dinner: Shrimp salad mix, spinach,kale

Kind of a crappy day for me, normally I eat 5-6 times. Today I got in only 4 meals. Tomorrow will be better. I will be better prepared, did some cooking tonight for the next few days.

Today might have been good, I dunno?

Forgot to eat in the morning though ;_;

Rice milk and cap'n crunch for lunch

Rice boiled with butternut squash, garlic and spinach (SUPER delish omg)
Pork/vegetable dumplings (5 of these was only 280 cal!!)

Then I decided to make cookies and everything went south. But before that I was doing pretty good!

My typical daily meals:

Breakfast- 4-6 whole eggs scrambled/or sunny side up, small bowl of fruit

Mid morning 5-6oz chicken breast for a shot of protein/or protein drink depending on convenience

Lunch- Chicken/shrimp salad with baby spinach, kale and other green veggies

Post work out- Chicken and veggies or protein drink depending if I am drinking them at the time and/or if I have a client and no time to eat.

Dinner- Some kind of protein, sometimes since I am home it will be some kind of beef. With more green veggies.

I do not have less than 30 grams of protein a meal. Most of the time its in the 45 to 50 range, since I am taking in anywhere from 180 to 220 a day. I sometimes depending on the day add a sixth meal in. Just depending on my lifting plan and the length of the day.

Great idea! I was doing some reading and they say it's good to keep track of what you're eating, because a lot of times, we underestimate how much we eat in a day. Putting it down in written form forces you to realize if you're overeating.

Today's Food!

Breakfast
- 2 packets of instant steel-cut oats with 1 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 cup of coffee with 1 tsp sugar and some powdered whitener

Lunch (eaten after a workout at the gym)
- Leftover beef tortellini, not more than 1 cup
- 1 apple with peanut butter
- 1/2 bottle of ginger ale

Afternoon Snack
- 2 small fruit popsicles

Dinner
- 2 breaded fish things
- Carrot kinpira (~2/3 cup shredded carrot fried in a bit of sesame oil and flavoured with maybe 1/2 tsp of soy sauce)
- About 1/3 cup white rice
- 1 tall glass of water

Evening Snack
- Home-made kale chips
- 1 Greek yogurt popsicle
- 1 tall glass of water

I'm probably really dehydrated xD

Seeing as how I'm wanting to delve deeper into cosplay and trying to get a diet going with an exercise routine, I think this would be a great thread to participate in. I'll start with what I had for today. Feel free to post any tips/suggestions. I'm trying to lose weight (mostly in my core/chest) and tone up for a lean build.

Monday 6/3
6am Breakfast (before work) - Bowl of plain oatmeal (rolled oats, microwaved w/milk) with a spoonful of peanut butter mixed in and sliced bananas

8:30am Breakfast (at work) - Scrambled eggs, an orange

11:30am Lunch - Portabello Mushroom and Provolone panini w/pesto sauce, 20 oz. Minute Maid Light Lemonade

5pm Dinner - Chicken Burrito (with brown rice, black beans, mild salsa, cheese, corn, lettuce) from Chipotle, "Energy" flavor VitaminWater

9pm snack - Coconut Chocolate Chip Clif bar

Only physical activity consisted of playing with the dogs for 10 minutes and lifting/moving computers on the job.

Also drank water throughout the day. I realize that some of these aren't the best decisions, but I'm still trying to see what should and shouldn't be eaten for a lean build.
