Binding without using a compression shirt?

I would, for a regular costume, just wear a compression shirt and be done, but the problem is that I'm cosplaying Ryuk (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2...c3xo1_1280.jpg, the one in the front) and not only is the shirt for the costume lower than my compression shirt, but Ryuk has blue skin and I think it goes without saying that I can't just paint the shirt.

I had thought about dying some gauze to match the body paint, and just wearing my compression shirt anyway and basically gluing the gauze to my chest where I can and just putting a few stitches in it to keep it on the inside of my costume shirt?

Other than that, I have absolutely no ideas about binding without a compression shirt, and I have a D-cup, so it has to be something pretty efficient.

Suggestions, please? :/

If you are unable to do the "open shirt" type of binding because of size or comfort I think your idea of the blue fabric is going to look the best. Plus, you could even paint it and use it as a base to make those hooks that grab into the skin !

Your other option is to make Ryuk's "skin" from something like blue lycra and wear your usual binder underneath that. Similiar to how a lot of people make Mystique's blue skin: http://th08.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/...en-d4egaif.jpg

You should try to get a real chest-only binder, like one FTM transgenders use. They make simple elastic ones that only smash the chest area, and you wouldn't be able to see it below the costume. Since I'm transgender myself, I already have one, but many many cosplayers use them.

Here is one like I'm talking about:
