Translating proportions..in particular SD and cute stuff...

Hmm...okay, so I've been trying to see whether or not this topic has been brought up at some point..but I'd like to put it to the audience how they'd translate proportions to their own bodily proportions.

I'm taking a simple example like - Salt from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar -

Would those be cuffs that just cover the wrist or would you make them huge enough to span half your forearm?
Myself...I would probably take the latter approach judging it to be "cuter" and yes it would look doubly cuter on a better proportioned child of 6 or below than it would on a short but wirey adult....
They'd need to be pretty smart and good-natured.
They'd need to be pretty, smart and good-natured.

Some small info on pandas- Eats, shoots and leaves!
(this is an excellent book btw)
The difference a little punctuation makes!

I would probably go for something in-between. I'd make the glove cuffs oversized, but I wouldn't let them trail halfway up my arm. The reason? It would look extremely disproportionate. If it went halfway up your forearm, it would lengthen the glove to an extent that it hardly resembles Salt's.

We cosplayers of chibi things must remember that we are not, and never will be chibi. That's what children are for XD.
