Cool Nathan Drake cosplay

Boys & girls, today I will be telling you how to dress up like Nathan Drake from Playstation 3's Uncharted game series.

Personally, I have found this cosplay to be the easiest and cheapest. Remember, you don't have to do an exact cosplay- anything close enough is fine and that's what I aimed for.

Top - £10 PRIMARK
Found a ribbed ful sleeved t-shirt top.
Could not get hold of the right figure hugging grandad style top that Nate wears, so mine doesn't have buttons.

Trousers - £20 BHS
Beige Cargo trousers

Boots - £15 SHOE ZONE
Sand boots

Arabian scarf - £2 eBAY

AK47 - £10 eBAY
I had to paint areas of the AK47 to brown using brown acryclic paint to closely resemble the AK47 that Nate uses.

Twin guns - £10 total eBAY
I used masking tape to cover the base of the gun and used a can of silver spray paint to spray the top of the guns. I then used black acryclic paint to paint the lower half of both guns

Wrist strap -
I had a large brown fake leather sheet that I bought from eBay for £10.
I merely cut a little bit and measured it against my wrist and then cut the end to look pointy as in pic. I used a pair of sew-on fastener on the inside to hold it to my wrist.

Shoulder holster -
This is the most difficult bit of the overall cosplay and will also take you a lot of time.

There are few separate bits that needs to be joined together
- Back star
- 4 x belts
- 2 x belt buckle
- Gun holster
- 4 x Jeans metal buttons

Take one of your t-shirts and lay it out on your bed.
Estimate and cut a rectangle out of the leather sheet and then draw the middle star as shown in my diagram.
Place the star cutout on the reverse side of your leather sheet and draw an outline and cut to have two copies of the star.
Next, I bought two belts from 99p stores and used the belt buckle from the belts.
Take a belt and draw 4 double outlines on the leather sheet.
Fold each of the double outlines , put a piece of cotton cloth on it and iron so that the belt maintains it's shape.
Stitch the belt's open ends.
Now, try to replicate the original belts and re-install the belt buckles for 3 and 4 and stitch.
Attach all 4 belts to the outer star. Leave just enough bit of the belts underneath the legs of the star so that your jeans buttons covers them. Punch holes using a belt hole puncher on each of the star's legs and then using a pen, mark the hole on the underlying belt and also punch a hole on the belt. Next, mark the holes on the inside star and punch holes. Stuff in your jeans button and then on the reverse, attach your nail that you got with your jeans button and use a hammer to fasten.
WARNING : The belts with the buckles will be at the bottom of the star
Stitch the whole sandwich - i.e. along the lengths of the star.
Try the shoulder holster and mark areas of belt 1 and 2 on the front where it needs to be cut. Cut, and then re-stitch.
Make hole on these belts as necessary so that the needle bit of the buckle can go through.

Last thing are the gun holsters.
Place your gun on the leather sheet and draw an outline, flip the gun 180degrees and draw another outline. Stitch in leaving the gun nozzle unstitched.
Fit your gun and cut off nozzle areas of the gun holster if necessary. Stitch up the nozzle.
Now, you need to stitch these to your shoulder holster.
Try on your shoulder holster and mark the lowest point of 3 & 4.
At these points, stitch your gun holsters to the shoulder holster so that the guns will both be looking down at an angle. This will take a few go's to perfect.

And, there you have it, all done!
