Bondo is one of those things that people are often wary about using because they've heard horror stories about how toxic it is, how difficult it is to work with, ect.

Like with anything, if you take proper safety precautions and use a little common sense then you'll be fine. Pick up some latex gloves, a couple dust masks or a cartridge respirator if you have a lot of sanding to do, and set up a little work space in a well ventilated area/outside.

Breathing in the dust from sanding is much more potentially harmful than occasionally getting a whiff of fumes. For the average hobbyist however, there is very little risk of anything serious ever coming from the brief exposure most will have with the stuff.

I ended up doing bondo I'm waiting for it to cure now but it looks really clumpy I hope I'm doing it right.

If you put it on clump it will look that way, just sand it down until it has the appearance you want.

Next time try to put it on a bit smoother and it will result in less sanding for you.
