Well, I finished the jacket on my Celes costume. I have a little ways to go, but the basic jacket/pants/bodice/boots part is done. I have one more sash I have to finish, some ribbon to put on the jacket, some more beading and I have to make the "gloves," but it's nearly done. I'm excited because I'll definitely have it ready in time for Otakon! Pics are up in my gallery.

I've always thought its was some sorta book myself.

I hope I can get all the painting right with the fabric paint and all.

marikit i love the outfit! the sword looks real o.o! the celes costume is comin out real cool so far! im just a bit concerned about the shoulders, they seem a bit too puffy :/. i tried to find the amano painting of the one you're working on but no luck, so if the painting has em like that then other than that it loosk wonderful so far !

KaineMaxwell: Well, if you think it should be a book, then go for it. It would be cool if you could make it one of his research books about magitech technology. If you were really ambitious, you could draw a few sketches in it or write some notes and pose with it open for pictures.

aw dont worry kaine, it;ll turn out great!! i like that idea with the drawing in the book, the little things count lots you know ! okie i see the amano one you're trying to do, the shoulders are fine :3. heheh that one looks a bit different than the others, i wonder why??? i dun usually see that alot in amano art..

Main worry is that i got medium when I likely should have tried large instead since the large would likely fit more like the Amano painting (with the bottom of the jacket going down close to his knees and all.

I'm not sure why he drew Celes' costume really different in that one picture, but it's a cool design that I've never seen anyone else do, so I'm not complaining!

KaineMaxwell: I think the jacket will work out fine, but if you're concerned about it, can you upload a pic of you wearing it?

ya i like how its different than the amano celes' ive seen on here, but anyways a pic is a good idea, since i dont know you in r/l so i cant be the judge of that lol ^_^;;;

i have to make my terra dress less baggy someday :/...but i hope my freya lance will come out good !
