hallo, sorry for a double post, but today i got my V 2.0 Terra fabric for her dress and sleeves. YES IT'S RED! It also has some green flower stuff on it, which i think is cool, since it goes well with the red, and my Terra will have green hair. when i make the dress and sleeves, i'll get around to show you what it looks like, but YAY its not pink or purple! hehheehhe happy :3

Pink and purple fabric for Terra? That's... wrong. Unless you're colour-blind (like I swear I am, look at my Quistis!). Terra's outfit is red, or at the least a deep pink. There is some purple in there, somewhere though... the sash under her belt, yes. That's it.

Did you just say you liked it? *cries* I am so happy ç.ç I hate that thing. But then I remember: It's my first made cosplay, and it doesn't have to be fantastic, great... or even that good. I did it in 3 days, after all ^_~
To be honest, I was going by a screenshot of Quistis. Her action figure, statue, etc all have a lighter pink colour, but I knew in my mind from playing the game and seeing pictures of screenshots that it was a darker pink than that. I actually brought the FFVIII game manual to the fabric store to compare. The fabric was ~slightly~ darker than in the book. Still, the lighter (but not too-too light, or orange, or brown) looks a lot better. Don't know how that works...

aw lol ^_^;;, yeah sometimes screenshots and drawings from art books, etc, look different from each other, which doesnt help when it comes to references :/. my v 1.0 Terra was the second costume i made, so i was still kinda getting in the hang of things. but anyways for something that was made in that short amount of time, it isnt too shabby

would using a table be a good idea for making a pattern for a white mage outfit? Also, what would be a good way to make hte hood for hte white mage cloak?

I'm not sure what you mean by using a table. Do you mean cutting the pattern in the shape of a table? |

harrah for AVALANCHE!!
anyways Kaiyn, im tryin to picture the using-of-the-table-as-a-pattern....but i keep on thinking there must be a better way to get a more cloak-like pattern. i looked online and found this site, maybe it'll help http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/...rns/Cloaks.htm harrah for LOTR, but this is old-school FF ^_^:; anyways the cloaks in that style look alot like the White Mage's, so i hope that helps, and good luck!

I agree, I think the pattern on that link would probably work better than using a table.

those cloaks would be traveller's cloaks, which are very very practical if made correctly :P the early FF cloaks though are more like "dress" (formal) cloaks though. ^^

Started more work on the Cid book. Using arcyllic paint for the white at least since it looks better then the fabric paint I used before. may have to use black arcyllic for the rest of it, depends how the black looks on the book.
