Hey hey, a old-school Final Fantasy cosplay thread. This is nice. Anyway, I think once I dropped about 40 pounds, I plan on cosplaying Locke Cole from FF6. The thing is, I do not know how to dew so I best commission somebody to do the costume for me.

My dream Final Fantasy cosplay is Kefka. That would be amazing if I could do him.

I have a bad habbit of only taking piccus of completed out fits at either the con or photoshoot I was making it for

@snow: at first glance if it's a basic locke cosplay you wish to make there really isn't many difficult things to sew for him.
you could get away with the basic straight stitch and reverse sticth at the start and end of each seam

Snow-Storm: hi!! Best of luck on Locke. The good thing about Locke is that you can make most of his costume using found clothing and thrift-store items. He wears pants that look very like black jeans, with boots. The only thing you'd have to commission or make would be the jacket or shirt (one of my friends who cosplayed Locke actually found the zebra-print shirt at a store). The rest of the outfit is just bandannas and scarves....I like to get a lot of my FF6 scarf material from thrift stores like Goodwill. (old ties make GREAT Amano-style scarves XD)

@snow: I agree. Locke is the easiest character to start with, especially for a rookie on the sewing machine. It's a good one to practice on.

Finishing up Celes's pants and jacket. I bought this really nice purple top to go with, and a pair of boots. Decided not to go for heels. xD And I'm attempting to dye stuff. >_> I got lace to put on the jacket... for giggles. I'm looking for a wig and wondering how I'm going to do the headpiece. Ah, stuff.

I'm so close to done I can taste it! I'm just lagging on painting my boots casue they are SO kick ass! That and I'm still waiting on my wig to come in... from China. I leave for con on June 3rd. Am I allowed to panic yet???

I think once I have at least $400 in my bank account, I'm going to go shopping for materials for my Locke cosplay. My general idea for the Amano cosplay are as follows:

The Zerba Shirt: If I'm lucky and by God's Divine grace or if some random dude was just being nice, I might find a fully made Zerba print shirt at a thrift store. If I don't find one, I might either commission somebody to do the shirt or take a Celes's style leap of faith
and buy a good clean white shirt and learn how to sew using a zebra print.

The Vest: If I'm lucky, I can find a plain black denim vest and dress it up with feathers and fake jewels,

Pants: I assume their black denim pants.

Sorry to jump in, but I love Kefka cosplayers! I am currently working on a Terra costume and I am hoping that when I finally finish it there will be a Kefka at that con. I actually wanted my brother to cosplay Kefka, but he would rather be Shadow.... it must be the "clown" makeup.

My husband was going to go as Kefka to my Terra, but he backed out. It's his first con and he wanted to get a feel for it before he jumped into cosplay. I think he was just being a baby about the makeup... >.>;;;

That's a bummer. You should force him to next time. :P We need more Kefka's in the world.

I've been working on a costume of Kefka's final form, but progress has been slow. All I've got is the purple bodysuit, which I still need to paint. I can make the wings on my own, but I'll probably need to get the wig commissioned.

I'll probably cosplay as Amano Locke sometime soon too. I've got leather pants and boots that would work, and I'm certain I could make the zebra-stripe shirt.

I'm more than willing to put on clown make-up! Just need to figure out how should I do the comission for the cosplay.

Lol Considering I've already bought most of the fabric for his costume, he'll cosplay Kefka or so help me I'll beat the living snot out of him and make him cosplay Kuja for my amusement!
