Shoe alteration

I found these shoes for my Fleur Delacour cosplay, and they're perfect, EXCEPT for the pinking(?) at the seams. Is there anyway I can get rid of the little triangles so the seams are just straight? Or would that just ruin the shoes? Please help!!!

If someone notices that the edges are pinked instead of smooth, they need to get a life!

I get wanting to be as accurate as possible, but your are getting down to serious knit-picking, don't be so hard on yourself!

Haha, I know, I just wanted to know if it was possible to get rid of them. I personally don't like the look of the pinking all that much, so I wanted to see if there was anyway to change it. I'm not afraid of haters, I'd just like the shoes better if the edges were smooth

Pinking..? Do you mean the small triangles?
You could try carefully cutting them off with an X-acto knife? If they're not attached to the actual boot

I wouldn't touch them, the seam that is right by then will come apart of you do. It's up to you if you want to risk that and if you think you can do without that seam.

I think you can cut them off, but I might suggest a pair of really fine manicure scissors so that you don't risk cutting into the layer underneath. It won't affect the seam at all provided you don't cut the stitching. The pinking is only a design feature.
And I don't like the pinking either. I'd cut it off too.

If the triangles are completely removed the seam will have nothing to "grab on to" at that point in the top layer. The seam is right at the base of the triangle, so if you remove the triangles the seam will be freed up and have nothing to hold on to on that layer.

It's like if you cut off the seam allowance on fabric - if you cut *right by* the seam, it will just fall off since it will no longer be between material.

Losing that seam may or may not have an impact on structural integrity. You might be able to glue down the material that's been freed up ad well or have someone re-stitch it with a normal edge.
