It still hurts nearly a year after I had a massive falling out with my cosplay "besties" (dramatic as cosplay drama will be) and I still see them having a grand old time together without me, making groups and skits as usual like I never mattered. I act tough and pretend like I don't care and make like I'm having fun on my own but inside I'm still crying.

Run without rivals

Couple of reasons, mainly distance keeps me from their place. Since I'd probably end up needing to spend the night if I did go to their place and my place is far to small to have anyone over. Them trying to tell me doesn't quite work because when it comes to cosplay I'm more of a visual learner.

There is also the simple fact they don't want to hold my hand while I make my cosplay.

Hmmm...maybe you can find more friends at conventions who would be more willing to take you through the process of making your cosplays. If not you could always look up tutorials on YouTube. That's how I (recently) learned how to use the sewing machine in my house and learned to sew a vest lol Some of those tutorials are really great and easy to follow

I wish I had a close girl friend that was into cosplay like me. It would be cool to have a best bro to goof around making cosplay stuff with.

- Did I build my cosplay well enough that people will recognize my character?
- Do I look bad in the pictures people took?

I'm also one of those people who wish they had a cosplay partner. Yes, my friends and I do group cosplays but I want to do pairing cosplays! >_<

I tell everyone to cosplay whatever they want regardless of their body shape when I'm actually completely terrified to do the same thing I actively encourage others to do.

Confession: I hate not cosplaying the same fandom as my girlfriend. Then I can't be all cute and shippy with her on that day of the con. :c (Or, well, I /can/ but then I'll have people looking at us REALLY weirdly. Like, "Why in the heck is Belarus cuddling with Heather Mason?")

Sometimes I want to throttle my friends who complain about how uncomfortable their own costumes are, when they bought it online and never even tried it on before the con.

Oh, thank God I am not the only one. I daydream about being in a cosplay group that isn't full of drama and we have tons of fun.

Confession: A lot of times I dive right into sewing before coming up with a proper battle plan. This has costed me a lot of time and money over the years. u_u;;

I actually don't think I'm too bad of a cosplayer. I may or may not scope out a con to gauge where I think my cosplay stands. I don't say anything of course, but it's a mental score.

Wow, didn't know so many people had similar problems with wanting to do group/couplecosplays > .<

It's just personally irritating to me when I know I did a better job on my cosplay than say...someone else did that's in a group cosplaying the same series as I am, get more attention by photographers and people in general at a con just because they're in a group. I know that sounds so b-tchy and selfish, but LOL T vT I really can't help it. </3 -tired of solo cosplaying- I do have cosplaying friends, but they don't like the series that I do ):
Cosplays for 2013-2014

Confession 1: I do secretly judge my friend's cosplays. Just wishing I could tell them that something doesn't look good or they need to fix a few things. Yet I encourage them. I'm a horrible person.

Confession 2: I hate when people bail on me last minute for a cosplay or hotel room for con. I pretend it's okay and say it's okay but it bugs the hell out of me. I'll carry that frustration up until the convention itself.

Confession 3: I seriously feel like half the time, my non-cosplaying (though anime fans themselves) friends don't understand a lot of the pain and frustration I go through when planning, making and wearing my cosplays.

Confession 2: I prefer making PiC's cosplays. I whine and jab at her about learning to do things herself, but at the convention, I feel like I'm going to be judged for the person standing next to me. So I'd rather do things myself and make it look alright.
...It also irks me (for reason above) that she's overweight and doesn't seem particularly interested in changing it, but there's nothing I can do about that either.
