Anyone else getting the new Sigma 18-35 f/1.8?

So, anyone else planning on getting teh new Sigma 18-35 f/1.8? I am seriously thinking of getting it when it is released, because the price point seem decent, it covers the range I normally use for cons, and it's definitely faster than my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. If it's nice and sharp I know I will be sold because if it is all I hope it is it would be a very attractive combo with my Pentax K5.

I know I'm likely the only Pentax shooter in here, but you Canon and Nikon guys always get stuff before Pentax does, so I wondered if anyone else was planning on going for it.

Nah, I've found I prefer longer focal lengths.

It looks like it'll be pretty awesome (and unprecedented!) for crop shooters who like the short end, though. Sigma's doing some exciting stuff these days.

I'm in line for one. However if the D400 doesn't come out within a year i'm selling it.

If I was still shooting crop I'd consider one. But as Av4rice mentioned, I'm more incline to shoot the longer (85mm+) ranges these days.

But yeah, kudos to Sigma for interesting and affordable glass.

Yeah, I was surprised at the price point for it.
