Hair Dye tips

A question for all you cosplayers.
I'm looking to cosplay as a character that would require me to dye my hair and beard, does anyone know any good temporary dyes?

My hair is red, and I need it to be black and grey.

There is no temp black dye. It will at minimum take 2-3 weeks to rinse out...or at least turn your hair dark brown.

What kind of style do you need it in? If you need the hair a bit stiff, you can use black spiking glue. The annoying part is the beard will get hard too and it's just an annoyance when not use to it, but it would still work, I've done it with other colors that way. If you need your hair to actually be able to blow in the wing and stuff or look more "natural" then obviously don't do that lol But yea, there isn't a temp day that won't last les s then a week at the least that I've seen. What's the character?

Definetly helpful if you link an image.

Ok here a stage trick that will work for short hair.
You need to get hair paint that is pigment rich.
http://www.mehron.com/Liquid_Makeup_p/111.htm

You start by styling you hair stiff into the shape you want with hairspray or Got2b Spiking Glue.

In this case I would go with the Spiking Glue and mix a bit of the balc paint into the paste while styling first.
Once it's set up you paint the exposed layer of your hair black.

For the beard you can also mix a tiny bit of the spiking glue into the paint and comb the mixture into you beard.

Once you hair and beard is dry go back in with a small bottle of white hair paint and paint a few strands of hair white. His beard have more grey hairs then his hair.
