Questions about body paint?

Hello guys,

I am new here and I have been looking around the treads to are if I could find something that would answer my question about body paints. I was talking to my coworker and asked her if she knew what I could do with my dilemma of body painting my arm pits since I have read that it will be more natural, and she said that there is No way for me to be able to use both deodorant and body paint. SO! My question to you guys is have you tried body paint on your arm pits while wearing deodorant or is that something that you can't do?

Btw I'll be using water activated body paint.

I've never tried it albeit I don't see a reason that you couldn't use deodorant over water-activated body paint (after it's set.) The talk around here recently has been the dilemma of using deodorant and PAX.

It depends on the kind of paint you are using, but when I did kratos we painted my armpits. We used a cream makeup and then dusted my entire body with corn starch (it makes cream makeup stay on forever). You can also use baby powder or something instead of deoderant, which will help make the makeup stick as well as help with sweating under the arms.

If set well, you shouldn't have a problem.

Would a "spray on" type deodorant work for you ? I can't imagine that would be too much issue to apply after the paint is on and you could always test it - it would be much less visible and "gentler" than a stick type.

I'll be using merhon paradise aq. Well this is what I heard. That the deodorant will make the paint come out or that it will make it look nasty. I use secret clinical strength because it's the only deodorant that works for me. I guess I will have to try it after my paints get here >_<.

psssssh we just did a marceline cosplay and i painted her arm pits (we used the water activated paints from ben nye) with no issues. just do deodarant first and let it fully dry. its better to use the poweder than the gel. i recommend getting up about 30 min- 1 hr before ull start painting and put it on. wear something loose and dont over stress yourself, watch some tv maybe eat some breakfast. then paint. when you do ur arm pits, do not put them down right away. hold your arms out for like a minute (ok not that long but long enough to get u fully dry!) and then use ur setting spray!

Wear deodorant. Con funk is no joke.

I have always worn deodorant under my body paint and painted my armpits. No issues with either alcohol paint (Temptu Dura Pro) or water based paint (I also use Mehron Paradise). Just let it dry first and paint over.

Thanks guys! I will follow your advice. I was very concern about this. I hate funky smell so I wanted to have a second opinion before I decided to not paint myself if I couldn't wear deodorant.
