I want to make Draven's Throwing Axes (League of legends)

Im going to be cosplaying for the first time, and decided to make Draven my choice of character for the anime convention AFO.

The only problem I was having was making his throwing axes, I honestly have no clue where to start on these. I would like to make them spin, but with the con coming up so soon, this might not be possible. If anyone could give me some pointers on what materials I could use to make this, it would be greatly appreciated.

This is what they look like. Thank you in advanced.

Currently I'm working on his Gladiator skin for completion by the end of the month. Using Komatex PVC foam for the majority of it. I'm using a lot of the same principles that I learned on the Tryndamere project. If you want to see what I've done and how I've done it so far for Draven you can find it on my twitter. GL! Happy Cosplay!

Thank you, I actually really like that Idea, it would make the weapons pretty solid so I don't have to worry about them breaking. For the tryn sword though, how many hours of labor would you estimate it took you without painting anything. Also, how were you able to cut out the frame for the sword out of wood? Thank you again for the help.

For the entire sword it probably took me 10 days worth of work.

The wood frame was cut with a jig saw. Hope that helps!

How you could make it move is to sandwich ball bearings between the circular part of the handle.
