Dragon Con photographer available - Dark characters look here.

* All openings are full - please come to one of my open group shoots or find me at the aquarium ^_^

Hi,

I'm a pro photographer based in Tampa, and I'll be available for private shoots off and on throughout Dragon Con. My usual style leans toward hard, edgy, and contrasty, good for aggressive or dark characters. I generally don't do "light and dreamy" so if that's in your character's persona, I may not be right for you.

I'm asking $20 for approximately half an hour of shooting with groups of up to three. I will deliver five to ten finished images (electronically) within a couple of weeks. I may add additional layout, graphic design, and special effects at my own discretion, if the images lend themselves well to it.

My assistant (pictured below in the green dress) and I will assist you with advice on posing and facial expressions, and I'll do a little advance research on your character to help with appropriate lighting, posing, and processing.

I can be contacted through email (nathan at avidchick.com), PM here on cosplay.com, or on Facebook.

Friday daytime.
Pretty flexible before 3pm, panel schedule permitting. Tentative availability:
Friday 11:00am: taken - Oswin Oswald
Friday 1:15pm: taken - San / Mononoke
Friday 2:00pm: taken - Ame-Comi Harley & San / Mononoke

Friday 3:00pm: Pinup Social at the Hyatt 22 Stories bar, come join if you like pinup style, no charge for pinup portraits.
Friday 6:00pm: Private event
Friday 8:30pm: (probably) Pinups by the Pool Party at the Sheraton pool, no charge for pinup portraits.

Friday late night. I'll be set up in a location near the Sheraton.
Friday 9:45pm: taken - Captain Jack Harkness
Friday 10:30pm: taken - Lady Melisandre & Assassin
Friday 11:15pm: taken - Disney Princess Jedi
Friday midnight: taken - Steampunk Stormtrooper

Saturday:
Saturday I'll be in costume most of the day; probably no scheduled shoots.
Saturday night I'll be at the Night at the Aquarium. I've secured official permission from aquarium staff to set up my lights inside, in the same location as last year, in the little carpeted area underneath the entrance to River Scout and Georgia Explorer.
Saturday 8:00pm: Bioshock. Bring your Rapture or Columbia finery and join the group!
Saturday 9:30-11:00pm: Open, no charge for a quick portrait if you're in costume at the aquarium.

Sunday morning - sleep late and recover from Saturday.
Sunday 1:00pm: taken - classic Wicked Witch of the West
Sunday 4:00pm: Ms. Star Trek Universe pageant, no charge for Star Trek cosplays, time permitting.
Sunday 6:00pm: Private event
Sunday 8:00pm: Fallout group shoot. Vault Dwellers, Lone Wanderers, Chosen Ones, and other assorted wasteland scum are welcome. No charge for anyone in Fallout cosplay.

Back to the Sheraton area.
Sunday 9:30pm: taken - American McGee's Alice
Sunday 10:15pm: taken - Catwoman
Sunday 11:00pm: taken - Heatmiser & Freezemiser

Monday availability TBD.

References are available to validate my non-creeper status.

Sick pics. Love that Scorpion shot. Really cool. Do you have a modelmayhem page or a personal website? Would love to see your other works.

Cheers!

Thanks for the compliments.

Yes, you can check out my Flickr, the albums on my personal Facebook, or the albums on our business Facebook. There's a small amount of my favorites also in the Portfolio-Specialty Portraiture section of our business website, but that site is more geared toward serving the video and photo needs of small to medium businesses.

I have a modelmayhem, but I haven't used it since I created it a couple years ago.

Great! I can make time for Angry Robots, I'm sure.

By the way, did I tell you that we can't watch Gravity Falls any more without seeing you as Mabel? :P

Awwwww, thanks! <3 I'll talk to you more a about what we plan wearing when, but we'll be at the Fallout shoot to kill two birds with one stone, since I was going to ask if you would shoot out Fallout stuff this con We're making our dwarves but they won't be 100% for this go around. But Ktar will have her Ame-Comi Harley, and I'm making San form Mononoke as well
It's coming up so fast!

And Jennifer told me that about Mabel, haha That's so funny, I take that as a compliment!
(I kind of want to make the sweater she wears when she wears the shutter shades, but I just don't have time before DCon...)
