Reaver- Yeah, I made that argument once too. The response I got from security was that it could still be used pretty lethally as a club.

I would think that anything large enough to draw attention that looks anything remotely close to a weapon such as a "Cloud" sword or Seras' cannon, could be a club. Even a bright geen wood riffle...

So unless it's like an obvious squirt gun, super soaker, I would advise against anything weapon like.

I have a cane for my Tuxedo Kamen... I may not even bring that.

Question for the admin ... What about other props that aren't "weapons"? Like Tuxedo Mask's cane, or perhaps Wolfwood's Punisher of Trigun (wrapped). My brother and bf might be cosplaying Nick and Chapel from Trigun. Mind you they are cardboard crosses. One is wrapped and another is a giant silver two piece cross thingy.

This is the prop I'm trying to get Ok-ed. If you think its to large or too "weapon-y" then no harm to leave it at home. Thanks!

My slight confusion over this is that a baseball bat could be a weapon but don't kids play baseball in that park? I can see why you wouldn't want to bring a firearm like an airsoft or an unsharpened katana but what about a plywood sword? Certainly less dangerous than an aluminum baseball bat but it's in the shape of a sword hehe.

Is this rule more like if it's used as a weapon in the anime, you can't bring it? I have back ups for my costume but having the weapon sort of brings out the character's trademark is all.

Ok, but what if the thing you want to bring isn't a weapon? Like can I bring my really fake bass guitar? Would that be ok? Or not?

I don't want to bring it and be in trouble, or not bring it and get asked why I don't have it. ^_^

I guess, guns swords? that sort of thing... ones that look real.. we are dealing with a public place... I mean like big foam swords would be okay? who knows... I guess then something like Cloud's sword would be okay, but Kenshin's would not?
