Ciel Phantomhive Style

(I'm a little tired so excuse any small grammar mistakes)

I saw this coat from Back Butler (my favorite anime) and thought it'd be a really cool cosplay idea, however after looking it up I decided that I didn't much want to pay the £150 (or thereabouts) that they were asking, and to be honest, I thought I could make better, however....How would you describe this?

I've thought about just a tailcoat or something but when I look it up it's just not quite right!

Anybody have any ideas as to what that sorta thing is called? It's my first time sewing for cosplay but I have sewn before for other things so I'm fairly confident I can do it! :) Thanks in advance for any help given!

There isn't really a name for it. I would just called it a double breasted jacket with cuffs, a lapel collar, and it has a peplum on it.

When I made that costume for my friend a few years back, I kept having trouble finding a good double breasted coat pattern, until I remembered my days of riding horses and looked up English riding patterns and came across the Shadbelly pattern by Suitability. It's got the collar points you need, the double breasted front, and the tails. It is a bit more advanced, so if you haven't done much sewing, it might be a bit confusing, but it is really perfect for Kuroshitsuji style jackets.

Sounds great, thanks for the help! My aunt is a professional tailor, y'know working in theatre so she's fitted people like Johnny Depp and Judy Dench, I'm she'd be willing to help if it gets too out of hand
