Yet another makeup attempt

Got myself some Ben Nye cream makeup, and I like it.

However, when I put it on, and used the highlight creme and the contour creme, it all kinda washed out.

Now, what I did was put on the foundation color first, and covered my face completely, but now I'm wondering if I should put the highlight on, the contour on, then the foundation everywhere else and then blend.

Blended like a dream but it just seemed really, really too subtle.

Getting close to the point that I'm ready to post pics, but I totally messed up the eyeshadow so ... :-)

I would just play around with methods. But there is a possibility that your highlight and contour colors themselves are too subtle. You can always add more makeup if that's the case. Another option is to apply highlight and contour where they need to be, then add foundation between those spaces. Then blend. If anything seems too harsh, add a touch more foundation. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Sounds like you are either overblending or need more contrast in highlight/contour colors.
