A foundation that's a few shades lighter than your skin.

Set it with a light color powder. Make sure you go over your neck, earlobes and anywhere your skin is exposed.

Foundation for sure, and I like to powder over that to further the effect.

Ben Nye MagiColor, Kyralon Aqua Color are both good body paints or you can use light foundation.Just remember, your character isn't WHITE so don't slap on a bunch of white foundation. The trick, is to use a color that is a few shades lighter then your own skin color, or you'll end up looking chalky and tacky. using this aquacolor with a bit of primer (or moisturizer) to thin it out is your best bet. Then continue layering until you've reached your wanted shade!

If you don't want to spend a lot on Kryolan, a drugstore foundation that is lighter than your skin will work. Two or three shades lighter, depending on your needs. If you have oily skin, Revlon Colorstay liquid works well and has a wide range of colors. If your skin is normal, Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation is nice. For dry skin, Revlon whipped foundation is great (though the color selection is more limited). If you have your own foundation and you find that you are making yourself pale pretty frequently, Illamasqua makes a pure white foundation that can be mixed with others to make light shades or used as a standalone for white skin (this is a pretty pricey option, so it's more of an investment for long term use).

What exactly did you use? Was it a normal foundation meant for pale people or was it a white theatrical sort of foundation? If it was the first option, there's a chance that it might have just oxidized on your skin, resulting in a color that's your actual skin tone. I have a few foundations that are a lot paler than me that oxidize to what's more or less my coloring.

Is it the Flower brand from Walmart? That's not foundation, it's a primer, used under makeup. If you're on a budget, I would recommend mixing Maybelline's white concealer stick with your primer and seeing if that does what you need. Otherwise, mix the concealer with your regular foundation to make it lighter. If you can't find the Maybelline stick, use Halloween makeup and mix with your foundation.

Another great option if you wanna go for a more pale look, skin79 BB cream (I use the pink one) comes out as very pale, and almost grey-ish tint.

But I use it a lot for cosplay purposes when I need to be paler. .
It's from Korea but you can get it online, via amazon etc.

It also has a lot of good properties to help your skin.

BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING SKIN79 ON AMAZON! There TONS of fakes on Amazon plus reviews get mixed together on Amazon for some godawful reason.
