How to Style Anna's Hair(Frozen)

So I'm planning on cosplay Anna from Frozen in the coronation dress she wears in the beginning of the movie.

One of the roadblocks I stumbled upon is her hair. I'm not too sure what her hair is doing. Where is her braid going in relation to the rest of her hair? 0_o Also how would I tackle her braid/bun thing? Wig-wise I was thinking about going with the Jeannie from Arda in Pumpkin so I would have the pulled back style as well as extra wefts to style with. Would that be good or should I go with something else?

Thanks in advance for all the help! ^_^

Ahh yes! I'm planning this too!
I was going to use a Jeanne as well however I was gonna use light copper I think or Ginger Blonde. Not sure. xD
The way I see it is her braid is coming from the side of her head behind her ear over her head to the other side. It is then pinned down.
Then her forelocks are pulled back and cover the ends of the braid. This is also when the bottom half is pulled up then it's pulled into what I think is a french twist and v'wala! (:

I was trying to decide between light copper and pumpkin and I got my friend's opinoin and she said to go with pumpkin. Although looking at it again...I am leaning more towards light copper. Lol

The braid makes sense but I'm just confused on how to actually style the wefts and such into a french twist. Lol.

Since it's upwefted (that's the right word yhea?) You should be able to do a twist just like you would on real hair! (:
Here's a tutorial for that (:

Now that I look at french twists again I think Anna's might be a modified version... I'll take a look around and get back to ya~

Haha okay. I looked at her hair and it doesn't really seem to be a french twist at all. It's just so...odd. Lol. XD

Should I take the wefts out of the Jeannie and put it in the wig so I will have enough hair?

Yes I think you would have to or you could use a Jasmine. (:

Looking at it closer in the video it looks like once all the hair is pulled back it's twisted into a halo around the bun/mass of hair. Here's a quick drawing I did. The arrows show the direction of the hair.

I'm not the most knowledgeable at hair styles but here are a few similar styles I found that may help you. Though it will for sure take some improvisation.

Oh true. I didn't think of that. Haha. XD It would probably be easier to just use a Jasmine. Guess I'll have to go with Pumpkin since it does not come in the light copper red.

And thanks! That picture really helps a lot. ^_^ Just one more quick question(sorry that I'm asking so many, haha). I understand where the bun/bottom pieces are coming from but the halo is made up of the leftover hair from the left side(I think that's the side with her white streak...) and the right side hairs are being used for the braid over the top, right? (I hope that makes sense...)

Just thought I'd throw in that Arda also has standalone braids that seem like they would work perfectly here.

I would choose Leia in the color Ginger Blonde, so you can part the back! You'll have to do a lot of trimming, but the part in the back is the best pro.
