All I have to do is get a blue matryoshka jacket/make my own, get a konata wig and I'm good! Also I was thinking of doing something unique on the back of the shirt. Adding a yellow star from the lucky star from the cheerleader's outfit. You know the star in the middle of their dress when they did they big cheerleading dance for the last episode of lucky star? Either that or add the lucky star logo on the back of the jacket, get a chocolate cornet bag (
This one:
http://www.amazon.com/Lucky-Star-Bre...lucky+star+bag
, or get a lucky star pin and add it on the front of the jacket, which one do you think I should pick, the bag, the pin, or the star) ? What do you think? Plus, would I be aloud to be in the vocaloid photoshoot if I dress like that? It IS from vocaloid but just a crossover of lucky star?

I've also heard that people have done the same thing but with black butler and other anime shows, they have it for artwork too (ex. someone cosplayed as ciel in a matryoshka jacket)
That's actually a very awesome idea, and yes yes yes you will be allowed in the photoshoot. People do their own twists of cosplay all the time. And in any case, since Kaiko is actually unofficial people will assume that your own version of female kaito. Just gently correct them. XD Crossover is always welcome in any photoshoot.

Awesome awesome awesome!!!! I can't WAIT! Oh and btw, which one should I get to show that I'm from lucky star? The bag, the pin on the front of the jacket, or the star on the back of the jacket (I would probably make the star)

lol. look like you're excited. bet you can't wait till next year huh?

Depends if you want to reuse the jacket for another cosplay. Actually, they all have the pros. I'll list some and I'll let you decide

For the star. people always give more recognition for things that the cosplayers had made themselves so the star it would make it unique. but it's permanent? so no reusablity (or this doesn't apply)

The cornet would work as a bag and a prop. So more people would want pictures of it, also it's a excellent icebreaker. Konata and her cornets. possibly most expensive

Pins are less noticeable, less expensive. And easy to remove in case you want to reused the jacket

Now pardon me while I'm fangirling over a Konata cosplaying as a vocaloid.<3

Anytime!!! Fangirl until your heart's content! I also want to meet Vic Mignogna. Have you met him before at an anime con? I hear he's REALLY nice AND he went last year to otakon! I'm praying that he's coming!

lol Awesome, Anime is a very creative hobby so you would fit right in!

NO... sadly, I never got to meet him but I did see him (from far away in a con) and I couldn't make it to his panel. He is a nice guy though.

lol I didn't recognized him at first. I did see Yaya han though, she's nice IRL. XD I also would look up stuff about how to survive a con. (first time I went, I wasted half of my time because I didn't organized on what panel I wanted to go to)

Oh wow! Thank you!!! I'm still deciding on how I should make the little antenna thingy on konata's hair. I think i'd have to style the wig, right (like get a rubber band, take parts of the hair and tie it in like a string thing)? This is the wig I was planning to get this wig
http://www.epiccosplay.com/50-dark-b...splay-wig.html
long right? I can't seem to find a shorter blue wig anywhere. Does this wig look easy to style to just to add the antenna onto her head (you know how konata has the string of hair on the top of her hair)? Have you ever styled wigs before?

Wait, I'm confused about pre registering. So you buy the badge online for cheaper but don't you have to go to the convention before it starts to pick it up or you don't need to do that and print it out online or something?

You buy it online then you pick up your badge at the front

Here's a ahoge tutorial (hair antenna): (yep, the antenna has a name XD)

http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=110650

I think hair glue would work(they use that for len's hair). (you can buy hair glue at any store )

As for hair wig. (kind of hard to determine how long konata's hair is she's a chibi)(and good choice for epic! it's a good retailer)

Here's 40 in--->http://www.epiccosplay.com/36-dark-b...splay-wig.html

Here's 28 in----> http://www.epiccosplay.com/26-dark-b...splay-wig.html

Thank you!! I was thinking of getting the second one. But will the bang stay there as it is in the picture? Do you have to style the bang yourself? If so, how? Does it have a name too? And where do I get hair glue?

Not really? kinda would stay, it's like regular hair. you can keep the bang like that. (just comb it that way. (sometimes the bangs would fall to the side if you lean to the side but it's an easy fix.

Like I said, hair glue can be bought any store, walmart target. Got2b is a good brand. Though they call it spikeing gel... using it on your own hair is sorta frustrating. (it's hard to wash it off! )XD you can google what it looks like.

And they also have photoshoots. Will these kind of events be located on the map?

nope, most photoshoots are arranged by the fans themselves. The con does not arrange any photoshoot/meetups. To find these meetups or to arrange on yourself you should check the otakun forums(the link to it would be on their own site) or The otakon section here.

or sometimes facebook and tumblr . I know for the photoshoot that I saw was announced on facebook, (and it's cause my con does not have it's own forum)
