I might get really crazy and go old school Metal Gear. Back when Solid Snake was still with FoxHOUND...and had to deal with the original MG...back when it still fired nuclear missiles, and Snake couldn't find his way through a stupid rainforest.

I'll probably end up using the boxart from the original as my reference work. My only concern is that not everyone would recognize the younger snake. He doesn't have a bandanna, so I'll have to use a FoxHOUND patch.

Way back when...Snake carried:
Cigs.
A box.
Beretta M92F
Ingram Mac11
Rations

And something like, 8 or 9 keycards.

You don't have to use the box-art as a referance. The "Pliskin" variation of Snake from MGS2 is actually the classic Snake outfit.

I'll stick with the art. Snake has shorter hair, a more streamlined headset, no facial hair...almost an entirely different person. It'll be less likely that I'll be mistaken for Iroquois Pliskin.

Granted that the box art has striking resemblance to a photo of Kyle Reese from the first Terminator flick...but hey, if that's what they used on the box art, I may aim at it.

I'm in midst of hand sewing my Snake Eater costume. Got a biiiiiig snake toy I get to carry around that has a chunk taken out of it. X3 Tee. I'm a dork.

I wouldn't suggest rubber. I recomend using a very stretchy material like Spandex or a wet suit.

well a wet suit would'nt give it that same look i dont care how much i sweat i want to make the best ninja cosplay yet ,im modeling the armor after pictures from the mcfarlane mgs toy and when i do finish ill be sure to post it here
