RoninEclipse2G: I also went through the others somewhat quickly, but I do have a feeling this one's gonna take a lot longer. It wouldn't be so bad if I could play it on the PS3, considering my PSP's analog stick moves on its own sometimes. It makes sneaking around difficult :\ (But if I could make my way through Metal Gear Acid, I can possibly get through this game. XD)

kdthompson: I did hear that you could find them at Target, I don't know why I haven't checked there yet. >>;

I think I found the stretch stitch on my machine. however, it's not its own stitch, but a setting on the straight stitch.. Odd. Either way, I'll test it out once I get some stretch fabric to test it on. I also have some white fabric paint laying around, so I'll test that on some scraps while I'm at it. (And don't worry about the "wall of text", I've seen worse. ^^)

Yep, school starts on Monday, I hope my schedule doesn't keep me too busy... Now that I think about it, I need to brush up on my Japanese again. And Math is gonna kill me. D:

For now, as far as cosplay goes, I just need to worry about ordering the things I need, and then play the waiting game. After that I can worry about putting the harness and such together, if I'm not already drowning in schoolwork by then. Too bad this costume won't be ready in time for my first convention. (It's on the 15th, I think.)

Yeah, if they'd do a PS3 HD update it would be a ton easier with the dual analog. My real issue is the fact that it seemsl like I'm spending 90% of the game dragging unconscious soldiers around. XP
What I would give to have the Fulton system like Peacewalker.

Got some photos back from my Solid Snake and Revengeance Raiden photoshoots at Fanime this past May. There's more on my dA and my Snake and Raiden albums, but here are 2 photos that came back...

There was a sad lack of MGS cosplay at Dragon*Con this year. I saw two Naked Snakes and nothing else. :*<

Wow, we don't show up and suddenly there's no MGS at Dragon*Con. That's kinda sad. I know I'll be there next year, so I'll be more than happy to help correct that issue. Here's hoping I'll have more of my new costumes done.

I'll be at Anime Weekend Atlanta and Escapist Expo later this month, but I'll only be bringing my MGS cosplay to AWA.

rj_sosongco - your photos look great. Awesome job.

Feels like I'm really late to the party on this one, but, great job on your solid snake, RJ!!!
I'm still making progress on my grey fox helmet... Slowly but surely. I'll post updated pictures once I finish separating the pieces.

Also, related question here...
What do you think the text highlighted in the picture below say?

I know the text on the forehead is supposed to say "tokugawa Heavy industries", and I've already made a logo with the inverted triangle and took some creative freedom with the design.
The problem is the other areas. I haven't seen anything as to what it is supposed to say either in the art book or from other cosplays, so I'm putting the question out there, and I'm open to suggestions.

Try looking for hi-res reference of the Play Arts Kai figure. Here's a pic I found:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/29518103@N06/7172206157/sizes/h/in/photostream/

EDIT: Found another, much better reference:

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BjAjeRbRhu...rg+Ninja+9.JPG

- Disc on his hip says "PRESS CENTER AND ROTATE RIGHT"
- Thigh says "USE DESIGNATED TOOL TO REMOVE FASTENER"
- Arm says "POWER LINES BELOW AVOID APPLYING PRESSURE"
- Rifle says "LSA MK.1-GUN MODULE ARMSTECH FIREARMS DIV"
- Shoulder says "USE DESIGNATED TOOL TO REMOVE FASTENER"

There are other photos on this site as well.

- I believe it also says "USE DESIGNATED TOOL..." on the codpiece as well as the bottom of the ribcage, under his chest
- Top of the hand says "DAAD15-16-P-000 TOKUGAWA"

Don't know what it says on the forearm (Nothing on the Play Arts Kai figure from what I can see), but I'm sure somebody has the figure or a hi-res ref of it.

Wow, thanks for the references, RJ. I'd seen the McFarlane figure that someone posted on the RPF, and it showed something like "caution" and some gibberish text after. This is much better! I think I'll make most of the marks say "CAUTION USE DESIGNATED TOOL TO REMOVE FASTENER"

Does anyone know if there's some way to make or buy a plain black see through eyepatch? Eventually I'm going to cosplay Big Boss as well, but I tried walking around with an eyepatch on for a day and it bothered me after awhile.
