Is anybody here a fan of the new Bubblegum Crisis series?

Well, I haven't seen it yet...but I'm wondering about the name of the pic. It's a pic of Sylia, but it's called bet with priss? Do I want to know or is it a spoiler or some sort?

I love it! it's not an award-winning anime by far, but the I love the characters, the attempted-rock sound track, the occasionally-reused-animation action scenes... ^^

normally in a series, I hate at least half the cast.. but in BGC2040, I like everyone. 0_0 rare!

I plan on cosplaying Sylia for AX03~ ^^

and, yes, I know it's a remake, and no, I haven't seen the original. so if anyone gets all annoyed about me not liking the original... shush and go BUY IT FOR ME. XP

I love BGC2040, and I can't wait for the sequel coming out BGC2041 with most of the original cast! ^^v

Psyth3, where did you hear they were making a sequel? I would love to see that.

Soshi, Yeah, I agree with you. I cant say I disliked any of the characters. Your going to Cosplay as Sylia? Thats cool. You'll have to post some pics when you get done. Which costume were you wanting to do?

Big Trouble in Tokyo 2041

ADV's David Williams has confirmed that a sequel television series to Bubblegum Crisis: 2040 is in an "embryonic, pre-production stage" according to the Anime News Network. Entitled Bubblegum Crisis: 2041, this series is a legitimate follow-up of its predecessor and not simply a renaming of the A.D. Police spinoff, Parasite Dolls. Unlike Parasite Dolls, the new 2041 is an exact extension of 2040 and the production will use as much of the original casts as possible.

I started watching the series in May, and then a friend of mine got me the 8 original episodes (ooooh man! the surge of the 80's music!). After watching the original BGC, I continued with 2040, and now my other friend let me borrow the rest of the series

I have to sit down and watch it though @_@ I believe I'm on episode 16. The music is very cool...I'm very much into anime soundtracks...if they're good ^__^

I love Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Can't wait until the sequel comes out. Is it going to be an OVA or TV seriies? It would be nice if the sequel had great animation like the original.

It is going to be a TV series as far as I know.

Hey, I was just as shocked as you were when I saw what I got...I couldn't believe he'd spend so much money on me @_@ I found it especially strange since I hardly talked to him. Good series. A VERY good remake of the original in my opinion. The english dub was even surprisingly good, except for the HORRID singing by the chick that did Priss' voice. Shoulda left the Japanese in there. Hehe...

Still, it was actually the first anime I fully collected on DVD. There's a sequel coming huh? Dunno how they can actually do one with how 2040 wrapped it up, but I'm definitely down for more if they can do it.

I was hoping that the series would have a little higher budget to show some major overkill action scenes with the knight saber suits. It kinda wrapped up as a general drama/ solve the mystery kinda series. I call for more budget!! more budget!!

The wig is nice! XD I actually don't have a favorite character from BGC...I like them all at different times in the story. I should really finish it....4 episodes to go... @_@ gaaahhh!
