I hope you see this reply even if I'm a tad bit late replying... I haven't checked the forums for a while, haha x)
It's really nice to hear that you plan to visit Sweden and I hope you have a nice vacation! As Blood_Sword
already mentioned, Närcon Sommar is definitely worth a visit despite its faults. Yupp, conventions are always more fun if you have friends! ^w^
I don't know if I will attend Närcon Sommar next year (haven't been there since 2014) it will depend on my economy, what the con is offering and if my friends are going. But I'm a bit tempted to go as Närcon has this festival-feel to it that no other con up here has. We'll see.
Oh and if you want to visit a con in Finland, I personally recommend Tracon out of the 3 big Finnish cons. These are Animecon (no set city), Tracon (Tampere) and Desucon (Lahti). Sadly Finnish cons -including Tracon- tends to be only 2-days, compared to the Swedish cons that are usually 3-day ones. I've been to all of the big cons in Finland, save for Desucon. But I've been to Desucon Frostbite which is in the same building and city as Desucon, but during winter. Out of all those cons, Tracon is the only one I regret about missing out, like I did last year. It's by far the best one according to me and my friends when it comes to overall con atmosphere/feeling, photoshoot possibilities (even outside the con) and the con building itself. Tampere is also a beautiful city, something I found out during this year's Tracon visit which you can read about here
, if interested. Sadly, I didn't realize to take photos of the city but I had fun exploring Tampere together with my friends
I hope you found this information useful and feel free to ask questions if you have any. I do my best to help out and reply, as it makes me really happy to be able to help others.
Hope to see you around and Achte auf Dich!
