Is ketosis safe for people with low-blood sugar?

I have been having trouble losing weight on a strictly low calorie diet. I have a friend who went on a ketogenic diet and lost a lot of weight, so I was thinking of trying that too. However, I read ketosis lowers blood sugar levels, and my doctor says my blood sugar is low. Is this a safe diet for me?

Please ask your doctor. We are just a bunch of internet strangers who make costumes. We do not know your medical history or current health conditions.
Workin' on:
Tom Petty [Final Fantasy XV] (9%)
Bondage Finch [Bondage Finch Adventures] (12%)
Your Mother [Debbie Does Dallas XXIII] (8%)

definitely talk to a doctor first. I'm currently on a low carb diet and it's the only diet that's worked for me, I have lost 43 lbs. on it and still have about 30 more to go

The short answer is "talk to your doctor". For some people it would be bad; diabetics and hypoglycemics. Every person is different. Your normal levels maybe considered low compared to the "average" person- for example i have low end blood pressure, but because its constantly that way with no issues, its considered normal. You can establish baselines like that with your doctor, and go from there with "diet" advice from them.
