I hear that.... I'm a stress eater and I have been stressing all winter which starts that vicious cycle...

Hem on Captain's pants need to finish and iron then that will be done.
Sew the bottom of shirt and the shirt will be done
Then chainmaille like crazy!

Ok let's see...
For Rin:
I have the jacket, belt, and hair extensions on the way. It says latest I can get it is the 25 of May and I pray it doesn't come that long. I have her accessories (earrings, choker), her boots; which won't take me too long to do as I just splat on the 'knee pads' which I'll make out of craft foam and cover it with the pink fabric and sew it on. I have her pink shorts. Once I have the jacket, I'll need to sew the blue fabric onto the jacket and put on her pink shoulder pads. I also Ordered a new wig for her.
Ruri:
Still need a canvas or leather vest, or at least modify a jacket into the vest and her boots. I have her pants/leggings, her red wrap thing, her earrings and still need to finish her top but at the moment I need to finish my last assignment for school. I have the wig, but I need to tinker with it besides hair styling. I need wefts to help me style the bun. Her bun isn't the usual odango bun style; she has a lot of hair that you can see how much she still has draping across her shoulders and the back AND see the bulk of the bun when seeing her hair from the front.
And my mom has a trip planned to go to my uncle's house, maybe I can bring what I need to sew there since his wife has a sewing machine.

Finished my bodice, and did a full-on fitting... everything looks great, I just have to fix some fitting issues with the bodice. The bodice is off-shoulder and so has a bunch of boning and has to fit tight to stay on, WITH a corset. Which means, with everything on, I'm having difficulty breathing because I have so much pressure around my entire torso. The corset itself is mostly fine but I definitely need to make a few small adjustments to be comfier, I'm pretty sure the problem is the bodice.

Figured out my chainmaille problem... The scales are too heavy to hold up on their own so I have to stabilize them with a euro 4-1. Through that process the front got too tight (dang boobs). Had to expand that and now it's sitting the way I want it to. I need to extend the front down as much as I can because it looks short in the front (again dang boobs).

Besides the chainmaille, I need to fray stitch everything on the pants, sand the emblem and paint, and pray to the glue gods that the gorilla glue will hold it to the meta. And that the shield straps will hold. Glue hates me.....

And I bought a pattern for my pokemans thing. Not that I needed a pattern, but fabricland had a sale.

That's so pretty! And heavy? Hmm...

The emblem is holding with the Velcro so that was the better method. Put some more glue down on the shield... cause I don't trust that glue... with all the trouble I have had... should have duct taped it!

It's ready to go for costume con and AN

Started cutting out for the kimono. I hate interfacing.... If it's done in time for the weekend I'll take it to Costume con too. Though I doubt it will be ready.

See you folks on the weekend if you are going!

Has anyone done a masquerade at Costume con before? When are awards handed out?

Haven't won anything (yet) at CostumeCon, but for the "regular" one, awards are announced on the Sunday. Handed out though, I'm not entirely sure. The award winners were basically just listed at the reg table. For the historical masquerade, they're done just a short time after since workmanship judging is done well before the masquerade and judges only need to tabulate performance scores during.

Your Anastasia is AMAZING!!!! Good luck at Costume Con.

The magnets for Soldier's mask arrived yesterday so I spent time working on that completion so I can make the neck piece after.

Mercy's feathers are all cut and just need to be sanded down (get rid of plastic chunks and rough/pointy edges) and dyed. Grabbing dye from the new shop in Hamilton this weekend, anyone have a chance to check it out yet?

Hopefully props get here in time for this weekend's workshop with some friends, if not, I'll start the base for Mercy's staff and a dummy end (in case my electronics don't arrive in time for AN T-T)

Pokemon trainer kimono thing is slowly getting there. It frays like a bugger... Need to finish the belt things.

Captain Canada needs some minor repairs and a wash. I am happy that the shield held at Costume con. I also want to "wash" the chainmaille as it's leaving some residue behind.

I ordered some stuff in mid-March, but it hadn't been shipped yet. I messaged the seller and they responded with "Sorry, the factory forgot to ship it." -.- They shipped it in the end, but I'm stressing because its for a group and I don't want to let everyone down
