I just saw the guest line-up and I'm surprised. AnimeFEST, despite being a small con, lands some really great guests!

MAX, Jonny Yong Bosch, and Beau Billingslea!

BishiJZ and I are gonna be going. It's right before class workloads get heavy, and during a North Texas away game (UNTv.UT). I'll be taking a buddy of mine, too. As for the hotel, we'll see if we can split it 3 or 4 ways, since the rates are really cheap, or since my bud's family lives in Dallas, we may manage something with them. Frankly, I could live with driving from Denton, but...

I'm aiming at a Chris Redfield, BishiiJZ may go as Jill V. and my bud is considering a Wesker costume.

I hear that this con, small or not, gets good guests and dealers.

Well, if I can get this job I'm going for right now then I'll have the money to go. Maybe I'll have the money to make another outfit too.

Yeah, AnimeFEST usually gets some awsome guests!! Last year they had Monkey Punch and Move!!! ^_^ Totally cool! Plus since it's a smaller con, it's more intimate. You could actually be sitting in the same vid room with a guest and start up a conversation! That's basically how i met most the VAs in the past few years. Man, i can't wait for this year!!! *runs back to sewing machine*

My boyfriend and I are thinking about going. We've been meaning to visit Texas anyway since I was born there. This will be my first con outside of Southern California if we do go!

Oh yeah my 2 friends are going as
Erinu-chan:Mint from tales of phantasia(I included a pic since I'm guessing that the majority of you don't know what Mint looks like)
http://www.angelfire.com/anime/misao...e/MintSket.jpg
Lyndseysu-chan:She MIGHT be cosplaying as Ed from cowboy Bebop Trust me she would do a PERFECT Ed.If anybody saw a girl with short brown hair singing the 3rd lord of the rings tavern song at A-kon that was her.

Jace told me about Anime Fest, so I think I'll be going as well! I checked out their website - wow, it's been a con for so long... I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it. I'll try my darnedest to get Megazord (improved version) and Dragonzord ready for it!

Well, I haven't started on Dragonzord yet. But I'm improving Megazord right now, for better accuracy and better maneuverability! hehe

Jace Moore is the one I'm talking about - she cosplayed Starscream (the transformer) at A-kon and possibly some other places I don't know about.

I'm hitting a tough spot. I need some prop/airsoft weapons for my costume, and I don't know where to get them besides via internet.

Since I live near Dallas (45min north at U.North Texas), I figure I can drive down and go to someplace that may have something, at least a Beretta M92.

Anyone know of any place within an hour of Dallas that'll have airsoft (spring, preferrably...for $$ purposes) weapons? Doesn't have to be a store, just someplace to look.

btw- Tokyo Marui made an awesome STARS custom Beretta a while back...too bad they're all gone now.

Academy and Oshman's Super Sports should have them. Probably an Acadey in Dallas. Only Oshman's I know of is near where 20/cooper meet in Arlington.

I found Southsummit.com has its location in Mesquite, and their online catalog shows that they have all the gear I need except a 3-point tactical sling for the MP5A5 or G36C. They have a tac holster for the Beretta or USP and the rest. Yeah, I know C. Redfield never carried the MP5A5, G36C, or the USP, but it'll look awesome anyhow.

I'm waiting on an email from Big World Comics in Carrolton, too. I heard they carried some airsoft stuff as well.
