Long Island Beach Photoshoot
Hiya! Just wondering if anyone would be up for a beach photoshoot? I'm working on arranging a photographer as well for this get together.. It'd be happening on Long Island, in Long Beach, sometime in August. Just looking for input!

Y'know... that sounds like a good idea but I have no idea where Long Beach is. Suffolk? Nassau? O.o; Where?

My b-day is in August as well, and I'm totally up for it. I can't go to any cons because I have no money and my family is in a tight spot. The beach sounds like it'd be lots and lots of fun. I even have a Aeris-ish bathing suit.

When:: August 22!
Where:: Long Island NY - Long Beach ((Lindell Blvd.)) What:: Any type of costume that is beach appropriate! Who:: Long Island Cosplay, and anyone else that's up for some beach fun! It is I believe 6$ to get onto the beach for the day, so please don't forget to bring funds to get on. The beach also does not allow radios, or alcohol on certian strips of beach. Make sure to bring a blanket and stuff for you to munch on if you get hungry ^_^ Directions:: by train:: Take the Long Beach line from Penn Station, its the last stop. Walk away from the station across the street about 4 or 5 blocks til you hit the boardwalk. by car:: from eastern li:: Take the southern state to the meadowbrook pky south. take the meadowbrook to ocean pky towards longbeach/point lookout. When you get off the pky, go towards the right, go to long beach road, ((about 1 or 2 miles down)) and make a left, make a right the block before the boardwalk ((you should still be able to see it and there's a light I dunno street names, I'll have better directions by saturday^_^)) Head down towards Lindell Blvd. from nyc and points west:: take either 495((lie)) northern state, or southern state pkys, to the meadowbrook, then follow the same directions above. from Sunrise Highway:: take sunrise highway ((27)) to long Beach road. Take Long Beach road South, and follow down through Oceanside and Island Park. Take it down to the beach area, then make a right. Go to Lindell Blvd. Any questions? Pm or email me ^_^ Sankuu ^_^

How's 12 noon sound for everyone? Gives us enough time to get things together. I should be there earlier, I'll try to have some kind of banner or flag thing going on again ^_^ Otherwise check by the lifeguard on Lindell Blvd.

Thank you everyone that came, I have mild sunburn so I will post pics that I got when I can, I know that Anna and Paul took a lot more than I did, I kinna didn't feel too well around 3:30 and went home ^_^ Hope you guys had fun

Thank you Jamie for putting this together. And a big thanks to Alie for baking the brownies. I had a great time. We were there till around 7:30. It was pretty funny how Andy and Joel didn't show up till like 5:30, and Amy didn't show up till 6pm.
