Costume Ideas—three girls
I hope this is the right forum to do this in ^^;
My two friends and I really want to do a cosplay group together but we're disagreeing on who to go as. There is a picture here so you can see us. We'd like to go as recognizeable characters that fairly suit our appearances (hair color doesn't matter: we can always buy wigs). Anyway, any ideas would be great, so we can try an settle this.

Magic Knights Rayearth?
Magic Users Club? The Three Muskteers? XD There are also lots of villain trios in Sailor Moon... depends on what sorts of things you like to watch/what sorts of characters you identify with. ^_^ WIth a little more guidance, I imagine there will be tonnes of brainstorming here for you.

After all that I forgot to enclose the picture...
Here The three of us last year We're up for anything. All three of us are video game fans (our last group was oul Calibur) and shoujo fans. So far some ideas have included steel angel kurumi, Legend of Draoon characters and sailormoon.... Thanks again!

Having three girls shouldn't make it too hard to find groups. Anime and games like to put girls in threes. As soon as I saw this thread I thought of things that were already mentioned -- Umi, Fuu, and Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth was the first. Mahou Tsukai Tai/Magic Users Club has Akane, Sae, and Nanaka, and Final Fantasy X-2's girls were already named... haha. Steel Angel Kurumi is a good one too! Lemme see what else I can think of. There's tons of series with mostly female casts, but I'll try to stick to actual formed or known trios in anime or games.
Anime - Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld from Aa! Megami-sama/Oh My Goddess! - Ran, Miyu, and Aya from Super GALS! - Akane, Nabiki, and Kasumi from Ranma 1/2... haha x.x - Luchia, Hanon, and Rina from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch - Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry from Saber Marionette R or Saber Marionette J - Shaolin, Rishu, and Ruuan from Mamotte Syugogetten Video Games - Tifa, Yuffie, and Aeris from Final Fantasy VII - Rinoa, Selphie, and Quistis from Final Fantasy VIII - Yuna, Rikku, and Lulu from Final Fantasy X - Mai, Yuri, and King from The King of Fighters '94/'95 (Woman Fighters Team) - Mai, Kasumi, and King from The King of Fighters '96 (Woman Fighters Team) - Mai, Chizuru, and King from The King of Fighters '97/'98 (Woman Fighters Team) - Mai, Yuri, and May Lee from The King of Fighters 2002 (Woman Fighters Team) - Mai, King, and Blue Mary from The King of Fighters 2003 (Woman Fighters Team) - Athena, Hinako, and Marin from The King of Fighters 2003 (Girls Fighters Team) ...lots of options from KOF there, I know, but the teams are set easy groups and I'm a fangirl of the series.. XD; I can't think of anything else right now. X_X |

The trio I named from Mermaid Melody is rather frilly and they have beads on them, I think. n.n Very cutesy. Same with Mamotte Syugogetten. I think the series is just called Getten over here. @_o

A couple more suggestions:
Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat really has five main girls, but you could pick three. The same goes for Tokyo Mew Mew. Or, you could always be Dejiko, Puchiko, and Rabi~en~Rose from the 'main' Di Gi Charat series.

The earlier Final Fantasy games also feature 3 girls each, but they're significantly less popular (especially FFV... for shame!)
Rosa, Rydia, Porom (FFIV) Lenna/Reina, Faris, Cara/Krile (FFV - and with FFV you can play with different job classes even more than this hip new FFX-2!) Terra, Celes, Relm (FFVI) There are also 3 playable ladies in Wild Arms 2 - Lilka, Kanon, and Anastasia - but that's probably even less known than the SNES FF games O_o Or even your choice of Zelda series girls! You can pick from Zelda, Sheik, Saria, Malon, Marin, Impa, Nabooru, Aryll, Maple, etc.... |

A group that is forgotten is Suzumiya Haruka, Suzumiya Akane, and Hayase Mitsuki, from Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

I have two sisters that I cosplay with, so we're always thinking about what three-girl combos we can do. We've done Dejiko, Puchiko, and Piyoko from DiGi Charat . . . Saga, Sugar, and Pepper from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar . . . Bra, Marron, and Pan from Dragonball GT . . . Yeah, there's LOTS of three-girl groups out there. Y'all are cute, so you should be able to pull off any of those pretty well ^_^

Twilight Suzuka, Aisha Clanclan, and Melfina from Outlaw Star. BT, Subaru, and Mimiru from .hack//SIGN. The angels for the Goddesses from AMG (Holybell, World of Elegance, Noble Scarlet). El Hazard - The priestesses, Shayla-Shayla, Miz Mishtal, Afura Mann Project A-Ko - A-ko, B-ko and C-ko Read or Die The TV - trio of females with paper powers (names forgotten, ATM) Saber Marionette - Luchs, Tiger, Panther (the "bad guys") Starlights from Sailor Moon Rurouni Kenshin - Megumi, Kaoru, Misao Galaxy Angel has more than 3 girls, but the uniforms are cute. Granted, some of my 3 girls suggestions aren't really "trios", like in Magic Knights Rayearth, but they'd make really recognizeable trios (at least, to me, anyway).
