*PERFORMES CPR* Nooo can't die..! Oh ahem. So anyway. I figured it was about time for a new thread ! Anyone have some ideas of when and where our next gathering should be? I vote for mid-september liike..the 18th maybe? Anyone up for a picnic? I figured if we do plan anything,it doesn't hurt to start now!

Agreed... granted that I would have to rely on someone else to get there... ans SG will most likely be that ride since other possible ones went to college ;-;...

Plus it is nicer for those of us not in Raliegh to be able to not have to drive an hour+ to get to something...

Trying to set things and looking at maps, demographic maps (kidding kind of), and places of local parks here are some ideas. More information coming soon.

1) Pullen Park - Raleigh, NC (We could rent a shelter for the day)
2) Duke Gardens - Durham, NC (Renting TOO FREAKING EXPENSIVE) - we'll take chances with the outdoors
3) Country Park - Greensboro (I dunno where this place is at)
4) Crabtree Lake - Cary, NC (We could rent a shelter for the day)

The above are the ones I can think of so far. Ideas are welcome.

There not much inbetween, although theres some UNC park I think in Greensboro? I dunno, but it'd be good to go somewhere someone knows about, or all of us do. Theres not much in between the middle of the state and the west, most are in the middle but the southern side is cut off in some ways, as well look at the highways are laid out, what would really be faster to get to?

I like the idea of going to Duke Gardens again and just finding some open space, most of us have been there before and it'd be easier.
Pullen Park would be a good exception to Duke Gardens, its not far from Duke Gardens but we could rent a shelter without worry.
and I dunno about the other two since i"ve never been there.

Well, the last gathering was sort of a hangout thing. Now we should all have a picnic gathering like the original Duke Gardens gathering before there was a CCR.
So, since we are a cosplay group, we could finally go and show off a costume and take pictures and such! and have some food there on the side =D But everyone should come in costume

I know that there is a place in Greensboro called "Bog Gardens" but I have never been there...
I pass signs pointing to it going down Holden Road... although I doubt that anyone here would know exactly where that was ^^;;

I found this park here: Bur-Mil Park.
And it seems to be good.... to rent a shelter for half a day varies, depending on what you would want on this page.

Theres a playground, fishing ponds, tennis courts, and swimming, although we'd wanna do any of that... except maybe the playground....

EDIT** I vote that when we do have this meeting, that it NOT be Labor Day Weekend.... I dun like crowds all that much >_O

Bur-Mil Park looks good, I agree it should be after labor day weekend but in Sept. Labor day traffic would be annoying too I suppose? Maybe.... Dunno. Shelter #7 looks cool to me, parking right by and water nearby, we'd be out of the way so we could take our pictures and stuff.

I would be happy to meet anywhere in NC. But I won't have my license until the 8th of October XD And Toshi, another cosplay buddy of mine, gets his the day before I do. Anyone willing to wait that long? LOL Anyway, I might be able to catch a ride with a friend this time. I hate being 17, and not able to drive alone yet! ( I waited to long to take the test!) I deffinitly won't be able to go on thre 11th of September though. But I will try my very best to be there. Even if I have to start walking a day early! I miss you all!
