Need more Love Hina!!!

I noticed that I was the only Love Hina cosplayer at AZ04 until I ran into a girl who was cosplaying as Naru. I was of course, Keitaro Urashima. But I was highly disappointed that I never saw any of the other girls from the hit series.

I really wanted a picture or a skit with the entire Love Hina cast. Naru, Kitsune, Mitsune, Motoko, Su, Shinobu, and everyone else. Please let there be more Love Hina cosplayers at AZ05!!! I beg of you!!!

I adore Love Hina. The idea of cosplaying characters from the series has crossed my mind, but since many of the characters wear regular clothing (ie: things that you w/could normally wear in everyday life), and not so much 'costumes', I haven't done so. Simply because I enjoy making costumes that I wouldn't typically wear. I do plan to cosplay grown Kaolla at some point, though. ^^ I also wouldn't mind seeing more Love Hina cosplayers.

Yeah, the thing about Love Hina is that you need the whole group to really get the full impact. Because they wear such normal clothing. You might see one and not even notice.

i have cosplayed idol naru (her first outfit in episode 11 when she sings egao no mirai he), but no one has recognized me. (i did this at fanime 03 and 04, and at Ax 03.) i also have a hard time with the hair. stupid antennae thingys... i was also thinking about cosplaying mutsumi in the rpg episode (not sure on the number) when she sings densetsu no onsen game... i was alsoo thinking about a whole LH RPG group, but i scrapped that idea.

I agree that a lot of people don't cosplay Love Hina because the characters usually wear somewhat normal clothing. . . my friend threw together a Keitaro costume the day before Fanime this year, using stuff from people's closets. My friends and I had an idea to do a LH group next year, but it got scrapped simply because we wanted to make costumes that we wouldn't wear normally (and my friend had already gotten his Keitaro cosplay fix). I would have been the only person to actually make something, as I was the group's Motoko (hakama = intimidating project as well).

I did naru.....either use super super hold gel I hear. You can also do what I did.... get the pieces of hair u want to use for the antennae and hold them up. Then use some hair spray (not a crazy ammount) and blow dry it so it sets....then do that a ton more times.
Also getting the fine wire that they use to wrap around the loafs of bread and taking the wire and wraping the wire around the hair in a tight spirl and end the spiral were you want to have the arch of the hair start.....just remember that you might want to leave some wire at the base of your scalp so that you and weave the wire into your hair so the antenna doesn't fall over....please don't use pipe cleaners, they're very bold and hard to have stay in your hair....try to use your hair/extentions or wig.

okay. thanks. but i tried super-extra-hold hair spray countless times, and it never worked, for i have very stubborn hair. (it seems to take after me.) i heard egg-whites work, is this true?

I think I heard that too...I know that it helps tighten the face when it is dry.....friends did a face mask once with it...in general egg whites are used to hold stuff together....but I was worried about getting samonella some how in the process to try it.

I wanna make one of naru's pop singer costumes.... that was such a random funny ep, and her costumes were so silly! but yea the dream ep would be fun too!

I have a suggestion for Naru hair - it's how we were going to do our group's Naru, and it's what I used for my Aeris bangs. It's Giga Hold gel. It's the strongest gel I have ever seen, and it's only $3-4 a bottle, so it's pretty cheap. Should hold anything. I have stubborn hair that doesn't respond to hair spray, and it kept my bangs up all day.

giga hold gel? where can you get it? i have never heard of it...

lol. You should have been at AMA o4 (same weekend). There was every Hinata resident but a Keitaro there, and they were all running around in the pink bath towels.
