Has anybody done a Chun Li costume? I'm planning one for AnimeNext 2005.

I need a little help figuring out what type of pattern to use..(I know I'm going to have to alter one)


Also, I'm having a hard time finding good reference pictures. I already did about 15 google image searches..so if anyone knows a site with good images or screenshots it'd be a great help.

I have the "Art of Chun-li" book that is a GOOD reference piece (ebay). You an also search Ebay for Resin / plastic Chun-li Statues that would be good to use as well (nothing like a 3d model fo what you want to be)

When I made my Chun-Li costume, I altered Simplicity's cheong-sam pattern. I'm sorry I don't have the number at the moment, but it's in the Evening Wear section of their book.

You'll also need a pattern for the puffy sleeves. I think I altered a wedding dress pattern for them - they have GREAT puffy sleeves!

Oh! And if you want the extreme curves that she has, make her belt from a waist cincher pattern - it works brilliantly!
