Pale fullbody skin

I have a huge problem in literal terms! I wanted to go a scizzor woman from Clock tower 3 to Otakon and well... her whole body is a sickly silver/pale color with deep silver cuts from cutting herself too much. I tried painting myself with paint the other day (Just my arm to try it on..) And all it did was crack and flake off. We did everything in our power to alter the paint. Thin it thicken it. All the same results. I was hoping I wouldn't have to get stage makeup but, what do you all think?

Yup. But she wears a skirt and a belly shirt and I have to get it just the right color and on her face.. the body suit made it look too fake for my likings. I guess I am just nitpicky.

Oh, then you will most likely have to go with the stage make-up. Or maybe if you used regular white skin paint you could put a dusting of powder over it. I'm sorry I can't think of anything different.

Let me know how it works out. I'll try and think of another way just in case it doesn't.

I don't know the character you're planning on cosplaying, but there's a cosplayer named Lindze ( http://www.lindze.com ) who uses a bodysuit for her Shiva (Final Fantasy 8) costume, to great effect. The key is to airbrush contours onto your bodysuit, which can give it the appearance of skin.

Hahahahahaha. I doubt he'd tell you his skin bleaching secrets.

But in all seriousness, like I have said in other threads, I think you could go with Ben Nye Aquapaint. I have seen awesome all-over paintings with using a liquid mix of the stuff in an airbrusher that looked like real clothing! I'd get a couple of white and a silver and see how you'd need to mix it to get the right effect. And get some of the sealant to make it liquid. I think you could do it fine just rubbing it on yourself with a sponge, you wouldn't need a fancy airbrusher like they used.

I myself have never done anything like this, although I saw on another forum (here is a link to the thread, if you're interested in looking at it). I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet that Aquacolour/Aquacolor (what she used, which is probably very similar to Ben Nye's Aquapaint) makes a colour close to what you're looking for. But, alas, I have no links to sites that sell Aquacolour, or suggestions other than your local costume or theatrical supply store. ^_^; Goodluck!

i've read in a pic that a girl posted that she mixed acrilic paint with body lotion for a shiva skin color, why don't you try that?

lol. Yeah, aquacolor/aquapaint is the same thing. If you try acrylic paint and lotion, it's gonna hurt like hell to get off no matter how much lotion you use. Just think about it. There are tiny little hairs all over your body and the paint is gonna stick to them and not want to come off. It's going to be a nightmare when you try to take it off.

if you use a gentle sponge to rip it off it doesn't have to hurt, and you exfoliate your skin but aquapaint is ok

It wouldn't be the skin I'd be worried about so much as the hair. You'd have to shave/wax your entire body before you did it.
