Sewing on frog closures

I've never sewen frog closures onto something before and the ones I ordered don't come with any direction what so ever on how to do so. Is there anyone who as done this before who'd be willing to share some tips on attaching frogs to a costume? Any help would be much appreciated!

hand sew them on for the best appearance (you'll probably need a thimble). Or, if it's 4:30 am the day of your event, you can sew them by machine with a zigzag stitch, tracing the shape of the frog. It shows up close, but it doesn't show in photos, even closeups. (I speak from experience ^^;;; )

First pin the frog closures to the area you want and then test it to see if you want it in that direction(I'm left handed so I put the knot side on the right side and the loop part on the left) depending on your handedness. Then I just handstiched it in place lots of times and it hasn't fallen off since!

Frog closures are tricky. Put together the two pieces, then pin them on the fabric (make sure you've pinned them at the same height on both sides!) dependant on which way you want them to open. Handsew small stitches in the color of the closure following the design (obviously don't sew the closure shut). Keep it closed until you have both sides sewn on.
