Red face Sailor Naptune prints

Anyone know anyplace where I can see some prints for making a Eternal Sailor Neptune costume?
I have until ACEN to get it all together, but I wanna start early.
I know nothing about sewing but I'm forced into it.. sorta.

Do you mean patterns? Most of it is the same as a standard scout fuku, which I know there's a pattern for that circulating somewhere. But it's really just a white bodysuit with a v-neck collar with trim attached to a 3-tiered skirt that has some gathering in it. And there are ribbons on the waist. Most people use actual ribbon for that part, but I don't know if that's wide enough to be accurate. The boots are easy as you can just find them off the rack. You might have to custom dye them, though. The sleeves are the trickiest part. But there is a recent thread on that here: http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=47827

Are you ordering your outfit from Japan, then? You're not making it?

You're welcome. Why do you need to send a money order there? If it's because of somebody making the costume for you, there are plenty of commissioners in various countries that you could choose from. It's too bad, though, I like to see how other people do them.

No no. I'm ordering authentic Japanese and Chinese school girl uniforms for when I go to work where I can actually wear them and the like ^^;;
I'm making my Sailor Neptune costume.
And you can DYE boots? O_O
Also, how do you prevent the costume from sagging? ;.; Like bow and all. Seems to wear down over time. *Worries*

Ohhh, okay. You can have certain ones (the special order ones for weddings) dyed to an exact color. I don't remember if they come in the boots or not though. And on the down side they are rather uncomfortable. Otherwise, I guess you could use a special paint for leather. I don't remember what it was called, though. Did you use interfacing on the bow? I use a layer of duck cloth sandwiched in-between the two layers of satin fabric in the bows and the collar. If you want the full bow tutorial, I tried to explain it as best I could here: http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=220852. I'm working on getting a full sailor scout tutorial up (except the collar) for my website, but that will be a while until I get it up. I am going to try the other version of sailor bows for the next scout I make, though. For that method, instead of taking two small tails and gluing them to the back of the large bow piece after it's cinched, you take two equal large rectangles and cinch them together. I think it's more accurate for the later sailor moon styles anyways, since the tails need to be very crisp. I think that's all that you'd have problems with sagging. The boots normally people have that trouble with too, but you won't need to worry since Neptune has easy ones.

Actually, Tia-sama, all the eternal senshi get boots like sailor moon's with the inverted points. Forget the easy dancing shoes on this one. >o< d'oh

Damn. Maybe it was Sera Myu or something. Or the cosplayer just got confused. *saw this in a couple of Neptune eternal cosplays* That means the boots are gonna be annoying. Unless you're obsessive like me, it'd probably be boot covers.

You could always get a pair of cheap white go-go boots and mangle the tops to make them look like hers. It wouldn't be to hard, considering you'd only have to cut the V-shape into them and then add the green trim and star.

Yeah, that's probably the easiest way to do them. A lot of people don't want to spend the money on the boots, though. They can get pretty expensive.

you may want to go with a wig from http://www.amphigory.com/ . I'd be kind of hesitant on buying the wig you mentioned just because you really don't know the "true" quality until you recieve it. The site doesn't list any fiber contents.
If you ordered from Amphigory you couple get Katie blair's wig dying kit ( http://www.katiebair.com/wigsupplies.html#dye ) in sea green. Here's her dye chart http://www.katiebair.com/dye_colorchart.jpg

Hope you're successful with sailor neptune. She's my fave

Cheers

PS. Feel free to PM/IM if you need any help

Thankz chu very very much ^-^. I know about Katie's petting zoo and the place she gets her products from. But I'm only dealnig with a 80 doller budget on the costume. This encludes the wig and the boots, the Leatard and the Fabric. ;.; I just need to know how to make the wig a little wavy.
I have until ACEN but.. I'm time paranoid ;.;

The boots look nice, I would just be concerned about the fact that the heels are a bit chunky rather than pointy. But nobody is going to really notice that. Do you think they will sit high enough on your leg, though, after you've cut them? It seems like they'd be just below knee-level, not at or a little above. =/

Erm. I don't think you can make this costume for under $100. That's how much it took me to make my sailor fuku for commission, and the eternal ones would cost more because there is more to the skirt.
