The DDR home game?
I would like to get this, but looking on eBay and such, I am so lost!!!! Is there just one actually game, or is there more? What are the best pads to get? And, do you have to buy specialized parts, like the pad adapter seperatly, or is that included? Help this confused child, please!! Thank you!

There are 3 English versions of DDR games currently, 2 for PS and the other for PS2. My pads are Konami and I've had them for over 2 years and they still work (considering the massive amount of time I use them for, hehe)
I don't think you have to buy the pad adaptor... I dunno, not sure x_x Correct me anybody if I'm wrong ![]()

I have:
DDR Konamix & DDR 3rd both for PSX and I much prefer 3rd... it has better songs in my opinion. If you need any DDR help go to: www.ddrfreak.com They have full step pattern for all the songs and is the definitive DDR resource. My brothers GF is an Electronics Engeneering Major and she is going to be making some DDR hard pads out of metal for my brother and herslef... she said that she'd make me some if I paid for the materials. I can't wait to try it at some point. Right now I have the origional Konami pad and it slides around way to much. FRom, Joe

I know that if you buy a soft mat, it plugs right in just like a regular controller. You can buy the mat for about 25 bucks, and it's separate from the game.
Yeeaaah... Konamix is kinda boring... 'cept for "La Senorita Virtual"... I like that one. :3

I know a gal who got the Konami soft pad 3 years ago and it still works... I've had mine since 1999 and it workls fine (about 6 months of use) but I'm not really in condition to use it anymore with my torn tendons in my right hamstring region... but when I get a hard pad I'll probibly sell my soft pad.
A soft pad should last a long time but it more depends on these factors: Do not wear shoes Wear socks. if you weight less than 250 pounds FRom, Joe

All you need to get started on DDR is a pad, the game, and a PSX or PS2. I recommend getting DDRMAX for PS2. It is the best home version of DDR out there... it's even better than the ones out in Japan!

I'm fine Spooky... for the most part. it happened in 1999 when I was in a motorcycle accident and I was in ICU for 3 weeks, hospital for 3 months and had to teach myslef to walk again.
I just found about my leg back in July of this year and it's to late to repair it. The surgeon said that I'll probibly never run, jump or jog again. I broke my right arm in 3 spots, compound fracture of my right femus and cracked my jaw in half. Getting back on topic... isn't there a DDR for the Dreamcast? FRom, Joe

Oh my God! That's rough Joe! My Dad was in a bad car accident in 98 I think, he still has bad headaches from the bruising of his brain and had to have surgery and all that good stuff! But, dreamcast? Not quite sure!

Just get a metal pad for 40 bux. Yes, 40 bux... it's not too hard to find.
yes, I know it's usually 100-140 for a hard pad, but I know like 5 places you can get officials for 40. ![]()

I would either go cheap and get the soft (but official konami) pad and then mod it (it last a really long time) or shell out and get the Konami Deluxe pads. they are nice and soft yet are as responsive as metal pads.
