Original Costume Design: FFVIII-2

I recently finished some character art for "Final Fantasy VIII-2" and was about to post them in the Member Art Gallery. However, I thought it might be fun to share it around here. I modified my drawings with notes on the costume designs for Rinoa, Selphie, and Quists, the three characters I have completed thus far.

Note that the designs are a bit FFX-2 inspired but not complete copies of Nomura's art style from FFX-2 (e.g. the Gunner skirt things). Hence these designs are pretty original (except for Rinoa, who is a mish-mash of KH Squall, FFVIII Squall, FFVIII Seifer, and the fan created KH Rinoa).

If anyone else has designs, please share them.

I was browsing thought the forums when I stumbed upon a post for a Gunblade Rinoa:

I was shocked to see the similarities between my design and Angel_Rinoa's were. (Note I have not seen her work until a few moments before this post and that my design was drawn 2 weeks ago). Not only that, both our ours shared similarites to the fan created KH Rinoa (which I included credits to in the first post since I drew some inspiration from the KH Rinoa design). It seems a lot of people like to use Squall's accesories when designing alternate costumes for Rinoa.

I just wanted to point this fact out to clear up any questions regarding the design of my Final Fantasy VIII-2 Rinoa.

They're so cute! My only suggestion is. . . maybe renaming the Quistis design? Technically she's a mercenary already, so her SeeD uniform is her real mercenary outfit.

I really like the Rinoa one though. ^-^

very nice! I also have a Rinoa and Squall Final Fantasy VIII-2 costume! I'll place it up later, along with the Kingdom Hearts Rinoa. Oh, did I mention that I made a fanfic comic of Kingdom Hearts Rinoa and Squall! Anywayz, me likey your costume art!
