International Cosplay Day is a day where you can get dressed in cosplay and you can go out and join an event that is happening in your area (if there is one) or you can create an event for your area, or you can simply just cosplay and go out around your neighborhood, or go to wal-mart or to the grocery store. It is to have fun and be able to cosplay for a day even when there is no convention in your area.
For International Cosplay Day, you are not limited to
anime. You can dress up as your favorite character from a movie, a comic, tv series, a video game, or really, just about anything.
It occurs on the last Saturday of August, annually.
If you are planning on creating an event for your area, send me your event link (set to public) and the location of the event in a message.

please make sure that when you go to your events (especially if they're in a public place) you DO NOT bring weapons. I would say, don't even bring fake weapons into a public place. I know many of your cosplays probably have weapons, but after these shootings that have happened in the U.S. in the last couple of months, I think it would be best if you didn't use any weapons with your cosplay. Fake or otherwise. I want you to all have fun, and not get into trouble or kicked out of a place because of your weapons. So please, just keep that in the back of your mind.
