My friend and I want to cosplay as a pair at CN Anime 2005. Slight problem: We don't know what to be!

We have a few ideas, but the things that we have chosen for the most part have very little source material.

So, if you can, help me with source material for
Naria/Eriya - The Escaflowne Movie
Dark Chii/Light Chii - Chobits (I've only read the first one, it was my friend's idea)
Cardboard tube samurai/arch nemisis - Penny Arcade (Fall back plan, it's easy)

Or possibly help us by suggesting some different pairs. (BTW we're both female... Just in case you're wondering.)

Well just to say, Light and Dark Chii are fairly overdone, not to say that you couldn't do it or anything...
I actually think Naria and Eriya is a really great idea =)

As for other pairs...You could do Miaka and Yui from Fushigi Yugi
Moro-dashi and Maru-dashi from XXXHolic
Any of the Senshi from Sailormoon
Sakura and Tomoyo *or Meiling* from Cardcaptor Sakura/Tsubasa
Excel and Hyatt from Excel Saga
Hikaru and Suzuki from Angelic Layer

and that's all I can come up with from the top of my head...hopefully you've heard of some of them manga/anime >_>;;

Of course I've heard of the Sailor Scouts... and Cardcaptors... Thanks to TV...

The others, not so much. I have little money for anime... and until I get the internet on my laptop I can't download them...

Yeah, I forgot to mention, I'm a huge FF fan. We would do that but we thought they were too overdone.

I second the Naria/Eriya idea. There's usually some other Esca cosplayers at major conventions, so you'd have some people you could meet up with - not to mention that Naria and Eriya are *great* characters who are too often overlooked!
