Ideas for an advanced, evil character...
I want to get started on something much, much more advanced for Otakon this fall. I want to find an evil character (male or female) with a fairly difficult costume that is not overdone. I'm good with all kinds of sewing and welding, so if anyone wants to see a certain character done for the first time, I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Mmm..well, you could always try the sorceress from FF8.
The villian from the Ah! My Goddess Movie is a pretty complex. If you wanna make sure no one else is doing your costume, you could do the evil witch from "Those who hunt elves". She got all over 6 minutes of air time in the entire series, but...hey. It's something interesting and nothing anyone's seen before. (or most people have seen before)

Do you know what the "Ah-My Goddess" villian's name is? Also, any male villians?

Oh! Fancy that. Morgan La Faye. The male villian from that movie Cestine is also a challenging costume as well. Anyway, if you really want some tough costumes, check out the villians roster from Baiten Kaitos. Those are some rough outfits.

Well, for male villains there's always Folken from Escaflowne (series). I know he's been done before but I've never seen one done really well, that arm is impossible (i know from experiance), just an idea. especially if you know how to weld.

My recommendations would be:
Anime: - Last Exile - Maestro Delphine - Naruto - The multi-armed guy of the Four Sounds - Mahoromatic - Ryuuga (Armored) - Kiddy Grade - Alv or Dvergr (masked) - Fullmetal Alchemist - Frank Archer (Automail Version) - Xenosaga (now an anime but also a game) - Albedo - Trigun - Legato Bluesummer (I've yet to see a good one) - Trigun - One of the Gun-Ho Guns - Spirited Away - Yubaba Games: - Zelda - Gannnodorf - Mega/Rock Man - Any of the bad robots - Metal Gear - There are a lot of bad guys to choose from and most have guns Last edited by Master1080 : 01-24-2005 at 12:48 AM. |

*looks at what's already been named* Hmmmm. Villains with crazy costumes, huh? XD I'll try to think of what I can that hasn't been named yet. I can think of a few with big armor, too.
- Ilpalazzo from Excel Saga (not exactly a villain but uhm... yeah.. sorta) - Ashram from Record of Lodoss War - Zagato from Magic Knight Rayearth - Alcione from Magic Knight Rayearth - Debonair from Magic Knight Rayearth 2 - (as a side note, a lot of Rayearth characters have crazy armor and costumes, especially the evil side) - Balmung from .hack (he isn't really a villain but in the games he's not exactly on your side either )- Rezo from Slayers - Lassic/Lashiec from Phantasy Star I & IV - Lynx from Chrono Cross (just making the face correct would be hard) I can't think of anything else right now. x.x Maybe later. |

OMG I would freak out and maybe run the other way if I saw an automail Archer (try ep 51 it has front and back shots) unless I was cosplaying Riza at the time, then I'd shoot at it.
There's also Zaha Torte from Sorcerer Hunters, his outfit is very similar to Ashram from Lodoss War The villain from the Ah My Goddess movie is Celestin There's also 16 from Dragon Ball

Phantasy Star love!
Lesse, I would heartily recommend either Mother Brain from Phantasy Star II, or, joy upon joy if anyone *ever* attempted this, one of the forms of Profound Darkness from Phantasy Star IV. Hmm..I wonder if I can dig up a pic of her for you? Heck, Zio from PSIV would be mighty smexy too ^^ |

Still looking for ideas? Try Dartz from the current (dubbed) season of Yu-Gi-Oh - elaborate robes, super-long and complex wig, and two-colored contacts. I've heard tale that someone is planning on doing him at Anime Detour but there's no knowing whether it'll be awesome or sucky. His three biker henchmen (Valon, Alastair, and Rafael) have pretty complex and fascinating outfits themselves, with all kinds of straps and buckles and armored crap all over them.
