Hope everyone enjoyed there christmas and got what they wanted. I hope everyone enjoyed the snow if they got any. Did any of you guys take photos in snow??? For some reason alot of cosplayers hurry and get photos in it "shrugs". Sadly I couldnt due to everything I have is either naked warm weather or spandex sighs.

Probably because while it's EXTREMELY unoriginal, it's one of the best backgrounds ever. I wish I had somebody to take pictures for me. Now that you give me the idea, it would be a PERFECT photo op for me in my Ouran costume.

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...42&id=42704775 Otherwise, the sky can keep its darn snow. edit: maybe unoriginal, it hardly ever snows. so, yeah, i ran out and took pics. and it was fun. there are plenty of unoriginal photos if ya think about it...anything with trees or water in the background...on stairs...in a parking garage...Shoot, there are even some places at cons that EVERYONE takes pics at so people can even guess the con [Katsucon's gazebo...the binary glass at Momocon...the pretty fountains at Otakon...the Sheraton at Dragon*Con] Cosplay pictures have so many staples. Ok, i'm only rambling because i find it interesting. lol.

Yeah, I like nature backgrounds for cosplay photos the best.
OK, so now I have a sewing machine and I'm wondering if a serger necessary to make costumes? |

No, a serger is not needed. You can make perfectly good, (well made) costumes with a sewing machine alone. I actually don’t think that you should even worry about getting a serger until you get a good handle on the sewing machine… just my opinion. |

I only think a serger is necessary if you're competing or really serious business about craftsmenship.

<--doesn't have a serger yet has professional seams cuz that's how she rolls.
 Oh and I won some vintage 1917 driving goggles off of ebay. Yay!

No more snow in Chicago, but my backyard is already full of it! A photoshoot there would be interesting, but not sure the wife would approve! LOL
@shadowravine: I'll probably wear my Mahoro on Friday at Ohayocon then split Saturday between Miho and Stocking.
