so how's the weather?

Just because I feel like cluttering up our shiny new forum with lots of threads.

For those of us coming from out of town, how has the weather been in the Twin Cities lately, and what does it look like on the long range forecasts for next week? I know a week out they won't be all THAT accurate, not till about Tuesday or Wednesday, but it would be nice to speculate as to whether I'll need a coat for my travels and whether driving to the Mall of America would be a good thing thanks to chilly weather.

Not to mention I have to keep an eye on my armor and not leave it in sun-drenched cars, because the heat WILL warp it...

I've been wondering that, too. Oh well, tomorrow I'm actually going to the cities (from about five hours away) for a Speech tournament in school. I guess I'll get to see for myself! It feels so weird, knowing that in a week, I'll be back, being my true geeky self. ^_^ Wow, I'm excited.

The temperature at which wearing less than three layers of clothes is idiotic, hat and gloves are strongly recommended, but not manditory, though you do risk freezing them. Stay indoors and take tunnels to get to your location.

fricken' freezing is one above "God hates us" cold, and one below "Tis a bit nipply."

Wow, for a Minnesotan, you're weak, Catboi! (just joshin' with ya) It's in the 30's and 40's F this weekend in Madison, but there's talk of plunging to the 20's by Thursday, which is the day I head out. Thank goodness no storms will be coming that day. But beyond that I can't really look at my own local forecast to tell me about the weekend.

20F? um... -7C. *dies*

It's 15.6C outside at the moment and a little chilly. It was 32.2C 2 days ago.

The closest temp I can get for Minnesota without having to poke around the internet is Chicago.

I ain't a Minnesotain... I'm a former Milwaukeean who just doesn't like wearing lots of clothing to go outside.

It looks like it will be warming up a bit at least. The snowcover seems to be disappearing. Does anyone know if the hotel has a courtyard to cool off in?

Good call GreenFire...that is pretty good. 37 by Sunday, yayness!

Do you guys have a lot of snow up there at all? We had some on the ground down here, but if it's 50 tomorrow it's gonna be all gone. (THANK GOODNESS) I just want it to be spring.

Poor Caloris! Coming all the way from summer into the tail end of a Midwest winter. If that ain't culture shock, I don't know what is.

I'm glad for a little warm weather at last. It means that my car heater will actually kick in before I get to school. No more frigidness for me, thankyou! It was nice to be coatless.
