mascara question for girls

i am a guy and recently have started whereing makeup cuz my gf likes it and i relaly have no one else to impress and i love her so much hehe ^_^ off topic a little but anywhos whenever i put on my mascera it clumps alot and irritates e s when i uncontrollably rub it it smears and mascera is a silly thng to try to remove :P, also i have large eyelashes so when my eyes are a little wide, the mascera gets on my eye lids and such. im sure this isnt an extrme abnormal problem but i was wonder what brand to use so that it doesnt clump up or anything. i mean i put it on properly and all, she taught me how.
i own a brand called new york colors, it was only like 5 dollars. whats brands out there dont clump up for future references and crossplaying.

Hmmm, I use Rimmel London. And another good tip would be to blink onto the brush instead of applying it normally. It'll reduce clumping that way.

I've never had any luck keeping mascara from clumping. ^^; It doesn't seem to make any difference what kind I use. They're all bad for me. I wear fake lashes when I need extra length without clumping.

As for it smearing when you rub your eyes... all I can say is, don't rub your eyes. ^^; No matter what kind of high-quality long lasting makeup you're wearing, if you rub it, it WILL smear at least a little. Wearing a little face powder or powder eyeshadow on the eyelid helps to absorb grease so that the mascara doesn't come off against it.

I use maybelline, but I've practically bought a few different brands and types and tested to see which ones worked best. I actually have five from maybelline O_o. There's not much of a difference with how they turned out on me--- but you could try using a lash comb. I got mine for around $2. It's a lash and brow styler and it has a tiny slanted comb on the head, with a bristly brush on the other. Use the comb end to gently straighten your lashes prior to mascara use. After applying the mascara, carefully stroke your lashes in an upward direction to separate your lashes. Mascara tends to clump if too much is used. Also, don't forget to replace your tube of mascara after 2-3 months. Not only is it for hygene purposes, but the quality of the mascara tends to deteriorate after a long period of time.

As for the smearing, you'll have to avoid that habit of yours. If you don't want to buy eye makeup remover, you can use baby oil. You can put some of it on a q-tip and use it to help remove the mascara you smeared. I hope that helped a bit. ^_^

just a quick warning too. When your trying to get more mascara on the brush, do no not push the brush up and down. This forces air in and turns your mascara case into a bacteria colony :P Then you get eye infections, and it's just not fun. It's best to swirl the brush around to get the make-up on it, and safer. Also, and i hate having to do this cause i feel like i'm wasting stuff, but you'll want to throw any mascara and eyeliners(liquid) away after 3-5 months to avoid eye infections.

I personally recomend Almay, it doesn't clump too badly, and it's hypoallergenic. Well, all the make-up I use is, causes less itching and skin sadness. Also the waterproof conditioning mascara by Mary Kay has super nice coverage, but usually more than I need.

i hate wearing mascara personally. i touch/rub my eyes too much. which is also unfortunate that i have really short nonexistant eyelashes >< i try to take a tissue and gently rub off any clumping or excess while i'm putting it on.

Be sure to replace it every few months wether it's empty or not, because it will get bacteria in it anyways. And never share it. I use covergirl in a red tube and it seems to go on okay, roll the brush a bit and go over them a couple times...
